A safety controller receives one or more input signals corresponding to operating conditions along the track. A safety program executing in the safety controller monitors the state of the input signals to determine whether a safety function is to be executed. When a safety program is executed, the safety controller transmits an output signal to one or more segment controllers present in one section along the track. Each segment controller is responsible for regulating current flow to the coils mounted to the corresponding track segment. In response to the signal from the safety controller, each segment controller in the section controls the power output to the coils along that section of track to achieve the safe operation desired in that segment.

Pressure data for multiple wells of a main reservoir is received during a simultaneous field shut-in of the multiple wells. A scaled rate of change of pressure for each well is determined using the pressure data for each well. Rates of change of pressure for the multiple wells are plotted using the scaled rates of change of pressure. Clusters of wells having rates of change of pressure within a threshold difference of other wells in a given cluster are determined based on the plotting. A detailed heterogeneities map of the main reservoir is generated based the clusters of wells. The heterogeneities map defines heterogeneous regions. Each region contains a set of wells assigned to the heterogeneous region based on the wells having similar rates of change of pressure.

When the environment or the usage habit changes, the corresponding first limit can still be calculated according to the integral value of the current temperature difference to accurately determine the smoking behavior, thereby effectively improving the detection accuracy of the number of puffs of smoking.
