  • Patent number: 6602268
Abstract: Blood lancet system for blood withdrawal for diagnostic purposes with a housing, a lancet holder movable in the housing for holding an exchangeable lancet, and a lancet drive for driving the pricking movement of the lancet holder with the lancet contained herein. The housing has a cap at the front end in pricking direction which can be removed in order to remove a used lancet from the lancet holder. The lancet and the housing cap are coupled, during the attachment of the housing cap, by a coupling mechanism comprising coupling elements matched to each other and enabling the extraction of the lancet from the lancet holder simultaneously with removing the housing cap.

  • Patent number: 6438756
Abstract: A harness strap assembly is adapted to be incorporated into the inner liner of the pants of a firefighter's turnout suit without requiring structural modification thereof. The harness strap assembly, when installed, comprises a pair of webbed strap members. A waist belt and the harness strap assembly are wound forward around the user's waist through waist belt-loops suspended from a suspender assembly; then down through loops suspended at the crotch of the pant liner; thence back around under the user's buttocks; and finally back forward to the fly area of the liner. Adjacent to the fly of the liner, the crotch portions of the strap pass through a pair of metal or fabric carabiner-holding rings that are attached to looped ends of the harness strap members. The carabiner-holding rings, in turn, are interlinked (by means of a strap) with a metal carabiner of conventional design.

  • Patent number: 6393618
Abstract: A flexible seat pad for fitting onto the inside crotch portion of a cyclist, the seat pad consisting of a generally convex unitary flexible sheet member, the sheet member defining: a number of pad bulges, integral to the sheet member, the pad bulges being resiliently compressible; and hinge lines, hingedly interconnecting adjacent pairs of pad bulges. The hinge lines assist in enabling said flexible sheet member to conformingly fit onto the inside crotch portion of the cyclist for dynamic comfort of the cyclist during pedalling.
