  • Patent number: 12333481
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for routing data by transferring a physical storage device for at least part of a route between source and destination locations. In one example, a computing resource service provider, may receive a request to transfer data from a customer center to a data center. The service provider may determine a route, which includes one or more of a physical path or a network path, for the data loaded onto a physical storage device to reach the data center from the customer center. Determining the route may include associating respective cost values to individual physical and network paths between physical stations between the customer and end data centers, and selecting one or more of the paths to reduce a total cost of the route. Route information may then be associated with the physical storage device based on the route.

  • Patent number: 12314920
Abstract: A token management server includes a memory and a data processor. The memory stores a token database and a subledger database. The processor is configured to save a token in the token database in a record in association with a ledger identifier and a subledger identifier. The processor receives from a point-of-sale station a token authorization request that includes the token and an authorization value, locates in the token database the record that includes the token, extracts the ledger identifier and the subledger identifier from the record, locates in the subledger database a subledger that is associated with the subledger identifier, and confirms that a balance value associated with the located subledger is at least equal to the authorization value. The processor then initiates a transfer from a pooling ledger that is associated with the ledger identifier of a transfer amount that is equal to the authorization value.

  • Patent number: 12299659
Abstract: Improvements to existing technologies associated with point-of-sale transactions and merchant ecosystems to, among other things, reduce in-person contact and, in some examples, improve the efficiency at which point-of-sale transactions are completed (i.e., reduce friction) are described. In some examples, such reduced in-person contact and/or improved efficiencies can limit transmission of infectious diseases. As such, techniques described are directed to modifying aspects of point-of-sale transactions such that they occur on different computing devices (e.g., customer computing devices instead of merchant computing devices), are automated, and/or occur at different times than with conventional point-of-sale transactions.

  • Patent number: 12293327
Abstract: Embodiments described herein disclose methods and systems for community item distribution. In some implementations, the community item distribution system includes a platform for users to post information regarding items they want to share with the community. The community item distribution system can categorize the information and establish donation parameters for the shared items. The donation parameters can include where and when items can be donated or retrieved, what types of items can be donated, and who can request the donated items. In some cases, the community item distribution system can generate a user interface listing the available items that users can request. Upon request of an item, the community item distribution system can schedule a drone to transport the item, in a secured container with ultraviolet lights to disinfect the item, from the storage location to the delivery location.

  • Patent number: 12229720
Abstract: A warehouse from which shoppers fulfill orders for an online concierge system maintains an online concierge system-specific portion for which the online concierge system specifies placement of items in regions. To place items in the online concierge system-specific portion, the online concierge system accounts for co-occurrences of different items in orders and measures of similarity between different items. From the co-occurrences of items, the online concierge system generates an affinity graph. The online concierge system also generates a colocation graph based on distances between different regions in the online concierge system-specific portion. Using an optimization function with the affinity graph and the colocation graph, the online concierge system selects regions within the online concierge system-specific portion for different items to minimize an amount of time for shoppers to obtain items in the online concierge-system specific portion.
