Abstract: A method for automatically optimizing a neighbor list for processing handover in an asynchronous WCDMA (Wide-band Code Division Multiple Access) network includes the steps of: collecting neighbor list data, call fault data, handover statistical data, base station location data and PSC information data of each base station sub-cell (or, sector) in a nationwide network; extracting all target sub-cells (or, sectors) available for handover by analyzing the collected data; endowing a weighting factor to the extracted target sub-cells (or, sectors) according to importance and then sorting calculated results so as to determine priorities; and subsequently inputting the target sub-cell (or, sector) information to the neighbor list according to the priorities.

Abstract: A packet processing method used in a wireless communication is disclosed to have the packet data not to contain the identification code of the transmitter and to let the receiver read out the correct identification code of the transmitter and verify the effectiveness of the data, assuring excellent confidentiality of the data, reducing packet size, maintaining packet data integrity, extending wireless communication distance and saving power consumption. Under the fix bit error rate, the invention effectively reduces the chance of erroneous data and lowers the current loading to the battery of each of the transmitter and the receiver.

Abstract: According to one or more method and apparatus embodiments taught herein, network base stations reduce temporal variations in the interference perceived by mobile stations operating within the network by slowing down the rate at which they change or otherwise update the linear precoding settings applied to their transmitted Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) signals in comparison to the rate at which the base stations perform link adaptation. That is, the precoding-related component of measured interference (e.g., other-cell interference) at the mobile stations is made quasi-stationary with respect to channel quality reporting and link adaptation intervals by fixing the preceding settings used by each base station over time intervals substantially longer than the channel reporting/link adaptation intervals.

Abstract: In an information processing apparatus having a function for exploiting higher performance than a single server module by constituting an SMP by combining a plurality of server modules, a user is inhibited from illegally constituting an SMP construction that exceeds license information. When a partition is constituted by a construction against the SMP license information, a slot number representing the number of server modules belonging to a partition and mounted to a chassis and the number of server modules in the same partition are checked and the SMP construction is inhibited when they do not fall within the range of the slot number and the number of server modules in the license information.

Abstract: A destination address of transmission of designated image data attached to e-mail and a notification destination address to be notified of error information if a transmission error occurs are set. If a transmission error occurs due to size excess of the transmitted e-mail, retransmission confirmation information containing the error information and designate input accept information for accepting designate input which designates whether to execute retransmission of the e-mail in which the transmission error has occurred is generated. The generated retransmission confirmation information is notified to a notification destination specified by the set notification destination address.
