Abstract: A stand for use with a laptop or portable computing device, such as, but not limited to, a MacBook. The stand elevates a laptop or portable computing device up off a desk or table top, reducing neck strain in the user and creating a more comfortable work setting. An adjustable-height stem connects a base and platform. The base also may be used alone, and comprises means for support the bottom of a computer stand. The base also may comprise storage space or shelves.
Abstract: A supporting stand is provided. The supporting stand includes an upright, a slidable clipping unit, a slider, an elastic element, and a bearing board. The upright includes a column body. The slidable clipping unit clamps the column body, and includes a structural sleeve element and a contact element. The contact element has a first contact body and a second contact body being rollable relative to the column body. The elastic element is connected to the column body and the structural sleeve element. The slider is configured to the structural sleeve element. The bearing board is disposed on the slider and bears the display. When an external force is applied, the structural sleeve element makes the slider move between a highest position and a lowest position, and when the external force is removed, the slider stops at any position between the highest position and the lowest position.

The luminometer (400) includes a luminometer controller (905) configured to, in response to an analog signal value of the analog signal (965) being greater than a predetermined value, determine and report a measurement value of the photons (135) emitted from the assay reactions over the time period based on the analog signal value of the analog signal (965) and a linear function (1010). Optionally, the linear function (1010) is derived from a relationship between the analog signal (965) and the photon count (970).

Abstract: A plurality of photodetectors form a light receiving group, and a plurality of the light receiving groups form one pixel. A light receiving array is provided with one or more of such pixels. The photodetectors each output a pulse signal in response to irradiation of a photon. A measuring unit is provided for each of the plurality of light receiving groups. The measuring unit generates time information representing an elapsed time from an irradiation timing input from outside and light quantity information acquired at each of one or more timings identified from the time information, in accordance with the pulse signal output from the light receiving group. The number of the photodetectors outputting the pulse signal among the plurality of photodetectors belonging to the light receiving group is used as the light quantity information.

Abstract: A focal-plane array includes an array of pixels. Each pixel includes an avalanche-type diode on a first layer, a read-out circuit (ROIC) on a second layer, and a power-supply circuit on a middle layer stacked between the first layer and the second layer. Since each pixel includes the avalanche-type diode, the ROIC, and the power-supply circuit on different layers circuitry for each pixel is in a top-down footprint of the pixel. Thus a consistent bias voltage to each pixel, decouples the avalanche-type diodes of the different pixels to eliminate crosstalk between adjacent pixels, and allows for individual control of each pixel.
