  • Patent number: 7103656
Abstract: The invention disclosed is an administration system and method for administering user access to an Enterprise system that supports redirection of data from a user's desktop computer in a Local Area Network to a user's wireless device. The Enterprise system having a plurality of message servers and one or more Enterprise servers, the Enterprise servers serving to direct data stored on the message servers between the user's desktop computer and the user's wireless device. The administration system having two components, a user interface (or client) and a administration service. The client having restricted access to what changes can be made to the data on the Enterprise server, yet sufficient permissions to require a single point of access to maintain user access to both the message server and the Enterprise servers.

  • Patent number: 7085815
Abstract: The amount of memory being utilized to store token state information is monitored. In response to the monitoring, one or more actions are taken. For instance, if the monitoring indicates that too much memory is being used to store token state information, then one or more actions are performed to reclaim memory and/or obtain additional memory elsewhere. These actions may include informing one or more clients to reduce their cache sizes, thereby relinquishing tokens; reducing or eliminating one or more byte range token trees; and/or migrating the token server from one node to another node. If the monitoring indicates that additional memory can be used for storing token state information, then one or more client nodes are informed that their cache sizes can be increased.

  • Patent number: 7072957
Abstract: A method of directly administering a service component through a hypermedia document can include a series of steps. The hypermedia document can provide an interface to a service logic execution environment (SLEE). At least one administrative option embodied in the hypermedia document can be provided. The at least one administrative option can correspond to a function to be performed by the service component. A user specified administrative option can be received in the hypermedia document and a SLEE compatible event can be generated based on the user specified administrative option. The event can be a type which the service component has been registered in the SLEE to receive. Also, the event can be routed to the service component via the SLEE. The service component can process the event and perform an administrative function consistent with the event.

  • Patent number: 7058682
Abstract: A blind join apparatus, method and system for use with an instant messaging client. The blind join apparatus can include at least one set of pre-configured blind join options specifying a level of participation permitted by an invitee invited to anonymously join an instant messaging session in progress. Blind join invitation generation logic can be configured to extend a blind join invitation to a specified instant messaging contact. Specifically, the blind join invitation can include a specified invitee and a selected one of the at least one set of pre-configured blind join options. Finally, blind join invitation acceptance logic can be configured to accept a blind join invitation at a level of participation limited by blind join options specified in the blind join invitation.
