Abstract: A mouthpiece includes an outer portion comprising a first side, a second side, a first pillar coupled to the first side and configured to rotate about a first axis, a second pillar coupled to the second side and configured to rotate about a second axis, a first upper gum support coupled to the first pillar and configured to rotate about a third axis that is perpendicular to the first axis, a first lower gum support coupled to the first pillar and configured to rotate about a fourth axis that is perpendicular to the first axis, a second upper gum support coupled to the second pillar and configured to rotate about a fifth axis that is perpendicular to the second axis, and a second lower gum support coupled to the second pillar and configured to rotate about a sixth axis that is perpendicular to the second axis.
Abstract: An orthopedic implant kit for tightening a set screw to a head of a pedicle screw for holding a spinal rod to the pedicle screw, the kit including a screw extender for holding the head of the pedicle screw, a set screw driver for engaging with the set screw to threadably tighten the set screw to the head of the pedicle screw, a first torque limiting mechanism for limiting a torque between the set screw driver and the screw extender to a first torque value or a first torque indication mechanism for indicating that the first torque has been reached, and a second torque limiting mechanism for limiting a torque between the set screw driver and the screw extender to a second torque value, the second torque value being higher than the first torque value.
Abstract: A diffuser for use with a wound retractor and configured to deliver gases includes an interface tube for connecting to a gases supply and a diffuser interface positioned at a proximal end of the interface tube, the diffuser interface configured for delivering gases received from the gases supply through the interface tube, and the diffuser interface comprising a diffusion mechanism configured to deliver gases in a diffusion direction. A wound retractor with an integrated diffuser is also disclosed. The wound retractor includes an upper ring, a lower ring, a sleeve extending between and connecting the upper ring to the lower ring, and an integrated diffuser interface having a gases inlet and a diffusion mechanism.

Abstract: A method of operating a surgical anchoring system can include inserting an outer sleeve of a surgical instrument at least partially into a first natural body lumen, the outer sleeve having a working channel. The method can include inserting a channel arm of the surgical instrument through the working channel of the outer sleeve and into a second natural body lumen. The channel arm has at least one first anchor member coupled thereto and a control actuator operatively coupled to the at least one first anchor member. The method can include expanding the at least one first anchor member from an unexpanded state to an expanded state to form an anchor point at a portion of the second natural body lumen. The method can include controlling, by the control actuator, a motion of the channel arm to selectively manipulate an organ associated with the first and second natural body lumens.
