  • Patent number: 10769646
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing an automated virtualized signal marketplace or exchange for signals from distributed data sources for use in advertising. Systems and methods to automatically discover and recommend which of the signals controlled by multiple entities may be most effective toward a given objective associated with advertising campaigns. Signals are indicators of data that are derived from data sources and abstracted to protect the underlying data. Each entity that sells data in the virtual marketplace first converts data into a “signal” or indicator that represents the data without disclosing it or providing it. Signal sellers determine if they want share signals based upon buyer, price, and other rules, including limitations on signal use; signal buyers determine signal value based upon their objectives.

  • Patent number: 10762525
Abstract: A method and system for presenting a promotional offer based on detected data. Data that is generated by at least one device detecting one or more physical actions performed by a person is obtained. The device is located in a same physical environment as the person. The data is analyzed to determine that a probability of an undesired action, by the person, is above a threshold value. Responsive to determining that the probability of the undesired action is above the threshold value, a promotional offer is presented to the person. The promotional offer lowers the probability of the undesired action by the person.

  • Patent number: 10740767
Abstract: Databases storing digital fingerprints of physical objects enable enhanced security and collaborative authentication. Digital fingerprints enable reliable identification of an object without the need for attaching or associating physical tags, labels or other identifying materials with the object; and serialization for identification also is obviated. By combining digital fingerprinting and data collaboration in one process, parties to the data collaboration can gain a level of certainty that data attributed to an object by different parties or at different times is attributed to only that object and not erroneously attributed to an incorrect or counterfeit object. Collaborative authentication platforms and processes, combining digital fingerprint databases with associated incentive databases, contribute enhanced information to the authentication databases, and provide unparalleled reliability and enriched metadata to supply chain tracking, detecting counterfeit objects, and other applications.

  • Patent number: 10692114
Abstract: A real-time messaging platform allows advertiser accounts to pay to insert candidate messages into the message streams requested by account holders. To accommodate multiple advertisers, the messaging platform controls an auction process that determines which candidate messages are selected for inclusion in a requested account holder's message stream. Selection is based on a bid for the candidate message, the message stream that is requested, and a variety of other factors that vary depending upon the implementation. The process for selection of candidate messages generally includes the following steps, though any given step may be omitted or combined into another step in a different implementation: targeting, filtering, prediction, ranking, and selection.

  • Patent number: 10692098
Abstract: Methods and systems for predicting content consumption are provided herein. An application log of a user, comprising a user's application data, and a viewing log of the user, comprising the user's viewing data (e.g., television programs watched by the user), may be evaluated over a time period to construct a model. The model may comprise a correlation between the viewing log and the application log during the time period (e.g., what applications the user interacts with while watching a program). Second application data, regarding application usage of a second user, may be extracted. The model may be applied to the second application data to identify an expected viewing action of the second user (e.g., what program the second user is likely to watch during the time period based upon applications used by the second user). The second user may be provided with content related to the expected viewing action.

  • Patent number: 10621622
Abstract: Techniques for providing notifications may be described. In particular, responses to past notifications transmitted from a computer system to a user device associated with a user account may be accessed. A notification profile for the user account may be generated based on the responses. The notification profile may include sequence of time slots to transmit notifications within a time period. A notification topic may also be determined based on past interactions of the user device with the computer system. Notifications corresponding to that notification topic may be scheduled for transmission to the user device based on the notification profile. A response to a transmitted notification may be analyzed to determine whether to change the notification topic. If so, remaining notifications may be updated based on the change before transmittal.

  • Patent number: 10614481
Abstract: The systems and techniques described herein measure advertisement effectiveness of behavior-based outcomes (e.g., site visit, number of pages consumed, searches, online and offline transactions). The system implemented an automated model to measure the impact of exposures and impressions on outcomes using uses panel data, cookie-based data, and combinations thereof. The techniques use test and control approach to calculate effectiveness, where the test group are those exposed to a campaign and a control group who is not exposed. For those exposed, a running analysis of impressions (and other variables) in a pre period is used to determine behavior based outcomes over a set time period after that exposure. As a result, the automated model is able to generate metrics that show absolute and relative impacts on future behavior.
