Abstract: A light source apparatus is configured to generate light efficiently from a light-emitting device. The light source apparatus includes a substrate having a pair of electrodes, a light-emitting device and a transparent resin for sealing the light-emitting device. A white resist layer is formed on the substrate. The white resist layer is formed to cover apart of the electrodes. The white resist layer 6 includes an opening corresponding to the light-emitting device. A white member for controlling a shape of the transparent resin is formed on the white resist layer.
Abstract: A nitride semiconductor device is provided. In the device, first and second conductivity type nitride layers are formed. An active layer is formed between the first and second conductivity type nitride layers. The active layer includes at least one quantum barrier layer and at least one quantum well layer. Also, a current spreading layer is interposed between the first conductivity type nitride layer and the active layer. The current spreading layer has an In content greater than the quantum well layer of the active layer.

Abstract: A semiconductor device includes an array of long-wavelength VCSELs pumped by a short-wavelength optical pump. The array of long-wavelength VCSELs includes a series of semiconductor recesses, where each semiconductor recess is between two layers of a VCSEL, substantially overlapping the transverse model profile of the VCSEL under operation.

Abstract: The present invention is a bioimplantable device for adjusting the position of and/or shielding selected tissues of a human body during radiation therapy. The device includes a selectively inflatable hollow structure formed from a biocompatible material, an inflation port in communication with the hollow structure effective to communicate an inflation material to within the hollow structure and at least one tissue fixation element disposed on the hollow structure. In another embodiment, the device is a multi-layer structure which can be implanted to block radiation and/or displace tissues from the path of the radiation.
Abstract: A molded plastic package for an integrated-circuit die includes a lead frame having a central die-attach paddle. One side of the die-attach paddle has an integrated-circuit die fixed thereto. A heat sink member is resiliently fixed to the other side of the die-attach paddle using a layer of viscous thermal grease between the heat sink member and the other side of the die-attach paddle. One or more holes are formed in the lead frame and are engaged by corresponding studs on the heat sink. The stud has a shoulder portion which engages the lead frame to prevent the stud from further passing through the hole in the lead frame.
