Abstract: An instrument for bending a surgical rod includes first and second arm assemblies. The first arm assembly includes first and second arms having respective first and second receiving portions configured to receive the surgical rod therein. The second arm assembly includes third and fourth arms having respective third and fourth receiving portions configured to receive the surgical rod therein. The instrument is reconfigurable from an initial configuration in which the first and third receiving portions of the respective first and third arms engage the surgical rod such that transitioning the first and third arms towards each other bends the surgical rod in a first orientation and transitioning the first and third arms away from each other bends the surgical rod in a second orientation opposite to the first orientation.
Abstract: A dent puller tool comprises a base for supporting the tool on a working surface, the base having a first bore defined therein. A grip body is provided in cooperative associating with the base and defining a gripping surface and a second bore extending therethrough. A puller shaft is disposed in the first and second bores and substantially parallel to the gripping surface. A lever is cooperatively associated with the puller shaft and pivotably mounted relative to the grip body such that the gripping surface and the lever extend along opposite sides of the puller shaft. Configured in this manner, the disclosed tool helps avoid undesirable bending of the user's wrist when in use.
Abstract: A punching mold device capable of rotating a workpiece includes an upper mold base, a lower mold base opposite to the lower mold base, an indexing rotation plate, a servo motor and a position-fixing element. The lower mold base includes a clamping portion for fixedly clamping a workpiece. The indexing rotation plate is formed with holes which collectively form a circular contour. The servo motor is connected to the indexing rotation plate and the workpiece, and synchronously rotates the indexing rotation plate and the workpiece. The position-fixing element includes a positioning pin which aims towards and is pluggably connected to one of the holes for stopping the rotation of the indexing rotation plate and the workpiece. The upper mold base includes a punching head module aligned with the clamping portion for punching the workpiece.
Abstract: A low speed seed oil expeller press with the capability of extracting oil through a new seed compression design that eliminates the need for filtration, and maintains the captured seed oil at a temperature below 130 degrees F. It has a seed preheating capability and controls the pressure and extraction oil temperature by adjustments of the expeller speed, the head volume and the size of the pressed seed exit orifice in the thorn. The seed oil expeller press eliminates seed rotation within the head volume so as to eliminate crushing, grinding or tearing of the seed by a symmetrical knived press head. The seed oil expeller press regulates seed temperature, seed feed rate, seed pressure, seed rotation and extracted seed oil temperature so as to compensate for the seed size, seed hardness and seed oil content.
Abstract: A flaring tool for flaring an end of a tube includes a locking mechanism having a collar and a collet with two or more collet pieces. As the collet is moved relative to the collar from a non-locking position toward a locking position, the collar engages outer surfaces of the collet pieces and causes the collet pieces to move from a non-clamping position toward a clamping position. As the collet pieces are urged radially inward, they each pivot about a respective pivot axis. As the collet moves further toward the locking position and the collet pieces move further toward the clamping position, the pivot axis of each of the collet pieces radially moves relative to the collet body and the collar. A flaring mechanism moves a flaring mandrel towards the end of the tube when the collet is clamped, whereby the mandrel engages and flares the end of the tube.
