Abstract: A system and method provide supplemental insurance having a relatively high first deductible and relatively low first premiums when coverage begins. On the occurrence of a predetermined future event, such as a plan maturity date or other event, the first deductible decreases while maintaining a relatively low premium for the duration of the insurance plan for the policy owner. The policy owner may be provided with an option to elect, on a guaranteed basis, to reduce the first deductible amount to a lower deductible amount, in exchange for an increased premium amount, prior to the occurrence of the predetermined event. In some embodiments, the supplemental insurance is provided as a rider to a Medicare Supplement Plan F.

Abstract: A marking system may hold a container from which markers are dispensed to mark the presence or absence of an underground facility in a dig area. The container may identify a marker characteristic regarding the markers in the container. The marking system may receive activation of a trigger, dispense a marker from the container when the trigger is activated, and store the marker characteristic and time data when the trigger is activated. In other embodiments, the marking system may dispense a marker, determine location data and/or time data, and substantially simultaneously trigger the dispensing of the marker and logging of the location data and/or the time data. The location data identifies a geographic location where the marker is dispensed and the time data identifies the time when the marker is dispensed.

In particular, a method and corresponding computer devices are described for evaluating stored quality control test plan data for each of the one or more medical imaging devices being managed on an evaluation date.

A daily schedule activity window (42) lists presents the user's schedule for a given day, and a personal notes activity window (50) presents notes previously submitted by the user. The patient lists can be presented according to service, team, or attending physician. The user can drill down to acquire more detailed information by selecting a patient from a list and requesting the information.

Abstract: A healthcare payment transaction system for managing and arranging payment for a healthcare service transaction provided by a healthcare service provider to a patient, particularly where the payment is to be paid by an insurer. The system includes an electronic deposit account for the healthcare service provider whereby the healthcare service provider records information regarding healthcare service transactions performed by the healthcare service provider for patients. It also features an electronic deposit account for the insurer whereby the insurer accesses information regarding healthcare service transactions for services provided for patients for which the insurer has payment responsibility. The insurer can also use its electronic deposit account to deposit payments for healthcare service transactions performed for patients covered by a policy issued by the insurer.

The method can comprise generating a report that analyzes information collected in preselected data fields on the performance of a resource after automatically executing a quality control test plan configured for the resource at a preselected time. The quality control test plan is configured based on resource type. A method can provide for monitoring the quality of exams performed on a plurality of patients. The method comprises generating a report automatically analyzing and organizing information collected on the accuracy of exams preformed on the plurality of the patients into statistics. These statistics can compare the information based on a radiologist or a facility with other radiologists other facilities or overall statistics for a plurality of radiologists or a plurality of facilities.

Abstract: A method, system and device for secure mobile healthcare selection are presented in which a user can, from a mobile device, authorize the comparison of pangenetic (genetic and epigenetic) data with data profiles corresponding to healthcare products, services and service providers to determine which are the most appropriate for a particular consumer. Data masking is used to maintain privacy of sensitive portions of the pangenetic data.

Abstract: A system, program product, and methods related to enhanced medical services delivery to geographically distributed patient populations by remotely located physicians are provided. An embodiment of the system includes a remote medical services server, a plurality of patient electronic medical records stored in the memory of the remote medical services server, and a remote medical services program product stored in the memory of the remote medical services server adapted to access the plurality of patient electronic medical records to thereby allow display of and data entry in a selected patient electronic medical record. The drawing processing unit displays the candidate destinations, reflecting a result of the judgment that the actual frequency satisfies the rule.

Abstract: A system for electronically managing patient discharges may include a patient data repository that can store patient data. The system may also include a provider repository that can store medical provider data having information about one or more providers of services to discharged patients. Moreover, the system may include a discharge planning module that can output a discharge planning user interface for presentation to a user. The discharge user interface can have functionality for the user to input post-discharge medical care options for a medical patient. The discharge planning module can also access the provider data in the provider data repository in response to receiving the post-discharge medical care options from the user, select medical providers from the provider data who have characteristics in the provider data that match the medical care options, and electronically send a discharge request to the selected medical providers.

The method also involves querying a data source for mined data associated with athlete injuries similar to the injury being assessed, generating predictive data relevant to the injury, and analyzing the historical data, the performance data, the mined data, and/or the predictive data to produce a predictive analysis associated with the athlete.

The relationships prevent informational disconnect between slightly disparate diagnoses between physicians who evaluate a same patient for the work-related musculoskeletal injury. The method also involves structuring storage of the relationships in a relational database, gathering for each work site, demographics and statistics on work-related musculoskeletal injuries associated with at least one of relatively high lost time or relatively high medical cost, and utilizing the relationships and the demographics to compile and retrieve data that facilitates prevention or improved resolution of the musculoskeletal injury.
