Abstract: A connection device for computing devices is described. In one or more implementations, a connection device comprises a plurality of connection portions that are physically and communicatively coupled, one to another. Each of the plurality of connection portions has at least one communication contact configured to form a communicative coupling with a respective one of a plurality of computing devices and with at least one other communication contact of another one of the connections portions to support communication between the plurality of computing devices. Each of the plurality of connection portions also includes a magnetic coupling device to form a removable magnetic attachment to the respective one of the plurality of computing devices.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for securing non-load bearing interior walls in a wood frame structure in a manner that allows for vertical deflection of the frame includes a plurality of sleeved fastener assemblies, each having a threaded fastener extending through a shorter outer sleeve with an enlarged diameter head. The fasteners hold interior non-load bearing walls in place through a predrilled hole in the top plates of the walls, while being capable of accommodating limited vertical movement caused by vertical deflection of the building frame during construction and beyond.

Abstract: An adjustable kettlebell or exercise device includes a handle device formed on a receptacle, and one or more weight members selectively engageable into the receptacle, and a control device includes a shaft engaged through the receptacle and engageable through the weight members for selectively anchoring either of the weight members to the receptacle with the shaft. The weight members each include a bore for engaging with the shaft, and an opening communicating with the bore of the weight members, and the shaft includes one or more pins engageable through the openings of the weight members for selectively engaging with the weight members.

Abstract: Apparel for monitoring optimal body shell temperature during physical activity. The apparel uses thermochromic dyes and thermochromic inks to indicate changes in body shell temperature as physical activity commences and progresses. The thermochromic dyes and inks reveal when the body shell temperature has reached a temperature indicating optimal muscle performance, and inform the wearer of the apparel whether to increase or decrease the intensity of the physical activity to establish or maintain the optimal body shell temperature.

Abstract: A selectable weight set apparatus includes a handle assembly including a handle having a first end portion and a second end portion opposite the first end portion. A first weight set is adapted to be supported on the first end portion of the handle and a second weight set is adapted to be supported on the second end portion of the handle. Each of the first and second weight sets includes a plurality of weight plates. An adjustment assembly selects a number of weight plates to be retained to the handle assembly. The adjustment assembly includes at least one selector for movement relative to at least one of the first and second weight sets to engage and select the weight plates in said at least one of the first and second weight sets. A locking assembly fixes the selector relative to said at least one of the first and second weight sets.

Abstract: A ruler for mixing the ingredients of a selected beverage is slidably received in a vertical slot formed on the inside wall of a pitcher. The beverage ingredients for mixing are listed on each side of the ruler. The list of ingredients for each beverage is color coded to distinguish one beverage from another. The amount and order for mixing the ingredients in the pitcher are identified by parallel spaced measuring lines extending from the bottom to the top of the ruler. The lowermost measuring line on the ruler identifies the first ingredient added to the pitcher. The remaining ingredients are sequentially added to the pitcher to the level of the measuring line identifying each ingredient. The ingredients for mixing are added to the pitcher without requiring the volume of each ingredient to be separately measured and added. With the mixing ruler being releasably attached to the pitcher a set of mixing rulers for a collection of beverage recipes is available for use in mixing beverages in the pitcher.

Abstract: A washing machine including a cabinet with an opening, a door that opens and closes to uncover and cover the opening, respectively, and a door locking device that selectively restrains a motion of the door when the door is closed. This configuration may be used to prevent the door from opening when, for example, the washing machine is in operation. An overflow hole to prevent overflow of water to the outside the detergent case is provided on the detergent case, and the detergent and the wash water do not overflow the detergent case and are discharged to an outside of the washing machine through the overflow hole when the pump breaks down.

Abstract: The modular screed plate assembly and method has a road paver/finisher, a structural/conductor plate and modular screed plates. The road paver/finisher has a paver under side, a power source and a heating element, for heating the modular screed plates. The modular screed plates have coupling elements, and retainer quick-connect/releases, and align as a modular screed plate array, providing a tensionally yielding gap allowing the modular screed plate array to absorb pressures from paving operations. The structural/conductor plate couples with the coupling elements and has screed plate retaining locks to securely receives the retainer quick-connect/releases, in order to secure itself to the modular screed plates. The structural/conductor plate receives heat directly from the heating element, and provides indirect heat to the modular screed plate array.
