An example audience measurement apparatus includes an impression monitoring system to monitor and log media impressions based on impression requests received via network communications from over the top devices. A linkage database system is to implement the impression monitoring system. In an embodiment, a method can include receiving, by a server from a network connection client executing on a user equipment, a network connection request to authorize connection to a network. The method can also include determining, by the server, whether the user equipment can support communication via an internet protocol-based advanced service of the network. In response to determining that the user equipment can support communication with an internet protocol-based advanced service of the network, the method can further include authorizing, by the server, a network connection for the user equipment while prohibiting the user equipment from using the internet protocol-based advanced service during the network connection.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to determine probabilistic media viewing metrics are disclosed herein. An example apparatus for determining a viewing metric for media to be viewed by a plurality of panelists includes a probability identifier to identify a probability for respective ones of the panelists with respect to the panelists viewing the media. The probability identifier is to identify the probability based on viewing data for the respective ones of the panelists. The example apparatus includes a calculator to calculate the viewing metric for the media based on the probabilities for the respective ones of the panelists and a sampling weight assigned to the respective ones of the panelists.

Abstract: A system for telematics integration includes a video system configured to receive an event email notification from a telematics system. The telematics system was provided an email address for the event email notification. The video system is further configured to scrape the event email notification for event information and to determine whether event information satisfies criteria to generate trigger criteria for an event of interest. Then video system is further configured to, in the event that the event information satisfies the criteria to generate the trigger criteria, retrieve associated video from a video repository of the video system based at least in part on the trigger criteria.

Abstract: Techniques to facilitate enhanced addressing of local and network resources from a computing system are provided herein. In one implementation, a method of mapping a virtual address space for an application on a computing system includes in response to initiating the application, identifying access information for at least one configuration resource. The method further includes transferring a request to the at least one configuration resource for a virtual addressing configuration, and receiving the virtual addressing configuration from the at least one configuration resource. The method further provides, based on the virtual addressing configuration, generating a mapping of virtual addresses for the application to local addresses for local resources and network addresses and network addresses for network resources.

Abstract: A method of and system for distributing a content item, having a plurality of segments. A composite content item is created by concatenating segments from different content items from different agencies. A segment of the composite content item may or may not already comprise a previously embedded segment watermark carrying a previously embedded segment payload. The method comprises determining if the segment already comprises a previously embedded segment watermark, and if so, logging the previously embedded segment payload in a watermark transaction log associated with the new segment payload; otherwise, embedding the new segment payload as a watermark in the segment. In the case that the segment already comprises a previously embedded segment payload, the previously embedded payload is logged in a watermark transaction log, and the previously embedded segment payload is replaced with a new segment watermark that represents the new segment payload.

More particularly, by the system for providing hybrid UIs of the present disclosure and a method thereof, interaction modes corresponding to various content resources and UI resources may be organically combined in each of various set-top boxes and media devices, thereby providing stable and sustainable UIs.
