  • Patent number: 10728301
Abstract: An edge server of a content delivery network (CDN) can serve as a proxy for an origin server. The edge server can remove distinguishing characteristics of the origin server. As a result, an end user system may be prevented from blocking content from the origin server based on the distinguishing characteristics. Additionally or alternatively, the edge server can encrypt a portion a uniform resource locator (URL) referencing the origin server so that the clear text of the URL does not follow a recognizable pattern. The path can be decrypted by the edge server when the edge server communicates with the origin server to retrieve the content from the origin server.

  • Patent number: 10708152
Abstract: An application and network analytics platform can capture comprehensive telemetry from servers and network devices operating within a network. The platform can discover flows running through the network, applications generating the flows, servers hosting the applications, computing resources provisioned and consumed by the applications, and network topology, among other insights. The platform can generate various models relating one set of application and network performance metrics to another. For example, the platform can model application latency as a function of computing resources provisioned to and/or actually used by the application, its host's total resources, and/or the distance of its host relative to other elements of the network. The platform can change the model by moving, removing, or adding elements to predict how the change affects application and network performance. In some situations, the platform can automatically act on predictions to improve application and network performance.

  • Patent number: 10686681
Abstract: A system used for identifying issues within a telecom network. Data is obtained from sources including probes and network elements. KPIs are identified for real-time streaming aggregation. Streaming data related to the KPIs is aggregated and an approximation of count-distinct subscribers and volume count is calculated, as well as count-distinct subscribers aggregating by each identified KPI. Drill objects found in the aggregated data are identified based on the calculations and real-time trending records are generated and stored for each drill object using an exponential moving average. Baseline averages are generated based on the real-time trending records. An increase in errors can then be detected based on the baseline averages and additionally aggregated real-time streaming data. Deviations in each drill object contributing to the detected increase in errors are then analyzed and a full case report is generated based on details of the deviations.

Abstract: A media file indexing service involves maintaining a media file index in a location external to the media file itself. The index is built up incrementally as the media file is being captured or transferred to shared storage. Client systems receive raw messages with information as to the location within the media file of media elements within each media file portion after it is written to shared storage, or receive refined messages indicating changes to the media file without the associated location information. Clients may query the index maintained by the index service for specific media elements during file capture, enabling edit-while-capture workflows.
