  • Patent number: 11012894
Abstract: In an example method, a base station determines that a UE is CSFB capable and that the base station is currently serving a relay on a first carrier of a plurality of carriers. The base station provides a coverage area on which to serve UEs, and the coverage area operates on the plurality of carriers. Based on at least the determining that the UE is CSFB capable and that the base station is currently serving the relay on the first carrier, the base station assigns the UE to operate on a carrier of the plurality of carriers other than the first carrier rather than having the UE operate on the first carrier on which the base station is currently serving the relay.

  • Patent number: 10999759
Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for a wireless device to report uncategorized data in a buffer status report. A first portion of buffered uplink data to be reported in a buffer status report may be categorized using a traffic flow template. A second portion of buffered uplink data to be reported in the buffer status report may not be categorized using the traffic flow template. A buffer status report indicating both the categorized and the uncategorized buffered uplink data may be transmitted to a base station providing a serving cell to the wireless device. According to some embodiments, the categorized buffered uplink data may be stored in a baseband processor buffer of the wireless device, while the uncategorized buffered uplink data may be stored in an application processor buffer of the wireless device.

  • Patent number: 10880713
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for enabling machine type communication in a long term evolution (LTE) network environment. In one embodiment, a Physical (PHY) layer of a LTE protocol stack maps data bits in resource elements of a logical channel to resource elements of a physical channel. The PHY layer identifies the data bits intended for legacy devices but mapped to a first set of resource elements of machine type communication (MTC) devices and the data bits intended for the MTC device but mapped to the second set of resource elements of the legacy devices. Accordingly, the PHY layer remaps the data bits intended for the legacy devices to the second set of resource elements and the data bits intended for the MTC devices to the first set of resource elements prior to transmission.

  • Patent number: 10819633
Abstract: A synchronous packet-processing pipeline whose data paths are populated with data-plane stateful processing units (DSPUs) is provided. A DSPU is a programmable processor whose operations are synchronous with the dataflow of the packet-processing pipeline. A DSPU performs every computation with fixed latency. Each DSPU is capable of maintaining a set of states and perform its computations based on its maintained set of states. The programming of a DSPU determines how and when the DSPU updates one of its maintained states. Such programming may configure the DSPU to update the state based on its received packet data, or to change the state regardless of the received packet data.

  • Patent number: 10764933
Abstract: A system and method is provided for a predictive connectivity layer. In the disclosed embodiments, resources, such as bandwidth, processing, and memory, at a network node are dynamically allocated based on one or more predicted user behaviors. A predicted user behavior may be determined based on one or more previous actions of a user or a group of users at the network node. For example, if a user accesses the network node to download a particular web site at the same time every morning, the predictive technique may determine that the user will attempt to download the same web site the next morning, and therefore cache a copy of the web site before the user's next attempt to access the network through the network node. Similarly, the network node may predict an amount of bandwidth or other resources to allocate based on previous behavior of one or more users.

  • Patent number: 10756953
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer readable mediums for seamlessly reconfiguring a data center after a failure are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system includes at least a primary data center and a secondary data center. When a failure occurs at the primary data center, software executing on the secondary data center dynamically identifies the storage resources correlation that is setup for disaster recovery. The software executing on the secondary data center will automatically identify the resources correlation based on the replication properties of the storage configuration. The resources will then be configured with the new parameters when new hardware and software is added to the primary data center after the failure.
