Abstract: A wireless device may support a plurality of channel state information (CSI) processes. The wireless device may send an indication of a number of supported CSI processes to a first base station. The first base station may send to the wireless device a handover command, instructing the wireless device to handover to a second base station. The handover command may comprise configuration parameters for CSI processes associated with the second base station. The configuration parameters may be based on the number of CSI processes supported by the wireless device.

  • Patent number: 10757580
Abstract: A plurality of directional antennas are arranged between an inner barrier (e.g., ring, wall, fence, glass, etc encircling a field, court, rink, stage, etc) and an outer barrier (e.g., guardrail, wall, etc encircling a seating region, etc) of the venue. Each directional antenna produces a beam pattern that is oriented such that the beam pattern is directed at an angle off-normal from the inner or outer barrier. Further, at least some of the directional antennas are placed at the openings of pedestrian tunnels leading into the seating region of the venue, near the inner barrier of the venue seating region, or placed near a midpoint between the inner and outer barriers so as to provide wireless communication services to users in the seating region of the venue.

  • Patent number: 10749702
Abstract: Techniques are described for multicast service translation. A router can provide access to a particular source for an Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) channel that is most appropriate for the subscriber despite the subscriber requesting the IPTV channel from a different source. The most appropriate source can be identified based upon a bit rate or quality of service associated with the subscriber and/or a bit rate or quality of service associated with each of one or more alternate sources of the IPTV channel. The router can receive a request to join a multicast stream from a client device of the subscriber that identifies a source associated with an IPTV channel, identify a different source of the IPTV channel for that subscriber, and transmit a different join request destined to the different source.

  • Patent number: 10749790
Abstract: In one embodiment, a local content hub device in a network receives content for distribution to a plurality of nodes in the network. The content is sent to the local content hub via a wide area network (WAN) using bit index explicit replication (BIER) messaging. The local content hub device caches the content and multicasts the cached content to the plurality of nodes in the network. The local content device determines that at least one of the plurality of nodes in the network did not receive the multicast content. The local content device retransmits the content to at least one of the plurality of nodes in the network that did not receive the multicast content.

  • Patent number: 10728867
Abstract: The solution presented herein controls a transmission timing of data from multiple transmission points to synchronize the data reception at a receiver to within pre-specified limits. To that end, a skew timing is determined from a difference between a second delay (a transmission time between the master node and a second slave node) and a first delay (a transmission time between a master node and a first slave node). A deadzone mapping is applied to the initial liming error (determined from a difference between a reference skew timing and the skew timing) to determine a final timing error. The deadzone mapping is configured to adjust the initial timing error responsive to a comparison between the initial timing error and a timing error range. The first and second delays are controlled using the final timing error to keep the skew timing within the timing error range.

  • Patent number: 10716068
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided and include a control module that establishes a secure wireless communication connection with a portable device. A sensor receives connection information about the secure wireless communication connection, eavesdrops on the wireless secure communication connection based on the connection information, measures signal information of a communication signal sent from the portable device to the control module during the secure wireless communication connection, compares the measured signal information with wakeup criteria information, and reports the measured signal information to the control module in response to the measured signal information satisfying the wakeup criteria. The control module receives the measured signal information from the sensor and determines a location of the portable device based on the measured signal information.

  • Patent number: 10694536
Abstract: In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control information (DCI) that includes a timing value indicating a timing of an opportunity, subsequent to reception of the DCI, for transmission or reception of a communication corresponding to the DCI. The UE may determine an uplink opportunity or a downlink opportunity for transmission or reception of the communication based at least in part on the timing of the opportunity. A counter for determining the uplink opportunity may be incremented only for transmission time intervals (TTIs) in which the UE is allowed to transmit the communication in an uplink channel. A counter for determining the downlink opportunity may be incremented only for TTIs in which the UE can expect to receive the communication in a downlink channel. The UE may transmit or receive the communication in the uplink opportunity or the downlink opportunity. Other aspects are disclosed.
