An apparatus transmits a random access request to a further apparatus, and the random access request comprises a random access preamble and an identifier of the apparatus for a random access procedure. The apparatus then receives, from the further apparatus, control information on a control channel addressed to the identifier, and the control information indicates at least one of a resource and timing information for communication between the apparatus and the further apparatus. Next, the apparatus determines a result of the random access procedure based at least in part on the control information.

The delay in reporting is reduced by providing a buffer status report for the urgent TID in a data frame being transmitted to carry data for a current TID. The buffer status report, in some embodiments, provides the value of the urgent TID. In some embodiments, the buffer status report provides an indication of the amount of data in a buffer corresponding to the urgent TID. In some embodiments, the buffer status report is based on an aggregated measure of more than one buffer with data awaiting transmission. The transmission of the MAC frame, in some embodiments, is unsolicited.

Therefore, in the embodiments of this disclosure, when determining that the higher layer is not configured with the scrambling identifier, the communications device scrambles or descrambles the data by using the second initial scrambling value. This resolves a problem in the prior art that a terminal device cannot determine an initial scrambling value used for data scrambling.

For example, embodiments can direct multicast delivery of the media channel offering to the craft in accordance with the first multicast group while being serviced by the first carrier and in accordance with the second multicast group while being serviced by the second.
