  • Patent number: 10200327
Abstract: A storage controller processes electronic messages by partitioning a storage device into logical disks and designating a logical disk as unavailable based on its storage capacity being fully used. A time is assigned to each logical disk that is available for writing, and an estimated deletion time is determined for an electronic message. The electronic message is stored in a logical disk that is identified by comparing the assigned times of the logical disks to the estimated deletion time of the electronic message. The electronic message may be deleted based on the detection of a triggering event. If a deletion of a message results in an unavailable logical disk having more than a threshold amount of unused storage capacity, then each of the electronic messages stored in the unavailable logical disk may be copied to a logical disk available for writing and the unavailable designation may be removed from the logical disk.

  • Patent number: 10194210
Abstract: Particular embodiments allow a content delivery service to dynamically adjust how the service allocates content delivery traffic to multiple content delivery networks (CDNs). In one embodiment, the content delivery service may service enough requests for media programs that multiple CDNs are used. This allows the content delivery service to allocate traffic to different CDNs. Instead of solely relying on the CDN to provide quality of service solutions, the content delivery service may configure client devices to send information to it that allows the content delivery service to analyze the media program playback quality of service. Then, the content delivery service can adjust the allocation for the CDNs if a problem is detected at a specific CDN.

  • Patent number: 10116727
Abstract: Analytics can be performed via analytics snippets that are ordinarily used for remote web page navigation, even though the content does not come from a remote server. The snippet can be embedded into a web application that simulates visitation to a simulated web page address by staging a mock environment that reflects properties for the web page, such as the simulated web page address or other arbitrary information. The analytics snippet is then executed in the mock environment. So, the snippet extracts information from the mock environment and reports it to the analytics server. Subsequently, when analytics reports are presented, the simulated web page address is reflected. The true address of the web page can be preserved and presented in the report to conveniently link back to the page in the local environment.
