  • Patent number: 9514498
Abstract: The method and system according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention allows ensuring consistency of the PNR record when it is handled within the subsystem controlled by the reservation interceptor module and including a plurality of OBEs. According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention the PNR context on open systems is centralized to avoid its fragmentation in the distributed environment, as gathering of all the context parts implies performance issues. In addition, instead of implementing a transaction session protocol to handle a start of transaction, intermediate updates and a final commit or rollback on the PNR context, the principle of the service interceptor architecture is to delegate the functional queries with the current user PNR context which will be modified in the central repository of PNR context only at response time when the whole functional use-case is finished.

  • Patent number: 9507622
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments provide various techniques for identifying a virtual application for backup in a cloud computing system. A cloud service layer of the cloud computing system is queried for a listing of virtual applications. In response to the querying, an attribute associated with the virtual application is received from the cloud service layer. The attribute associated with the virtual application is then transformed into an attribute associated with a hypervisor-managed virtual machine, and this transformation of the attribute exposes the hypervisor-managed virtual machine associated with the virtual application such that the hypervisor-managed virtual machine is identifiable for backup. As a result, the virtual application can be backed up based on the attribute of the hypervisor-managed virtual machine.

  • Patent number: 9454406
Abstract: Techniques for automated and controlled cloud migration or bursting are provided. A schema for a first cloud in a first cloud processing environment is used to evaluate metrics against thresholds defined in the schema. When a threshold is reached other metrics for other clouds in second cloud processing environments are evaluated and a second cloud processing environment is selected. Next, a second cloud is cloned in the selected second cloud processing environment for the first cloud and traffic associated with the first cloud is automatically migrated to the cloned second cloud.

  • Patent number: 9413822
Abstract: Mobile P2P system includes mobile tracker node and super peer node. Mobile tracker node is located in dedicated wired network operating in conjunction with internet network to which plurality of peer nodes are connected, and manages information of plurality of mobile peer nodes connected to wireless access network. Peer list containing information on one or more peer nodes having content queried by plurality of mobile peer nodes is transmitted to mobile peer nodes, one or more peer nodes including mobile peer nodes and peer nodes on internet network. Super peer node is connected to mobile tracker node via wires, and located for each wireless access network. Super peer node forwards content query received from mobile peer nodes to the mobile tracker node, and receives the queried content from the peer nodes in the peer list received from the mobile tracker node and transmits the same to the mobile peer nodes.

  • Patent number: 9397987
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed which facilitate managing interaction with instances corresponding to hosted services. Customers may implement services on a hosted computing environment. Further, the customer may allow limited interaction with the hosted service to a third party (e.g., in connection with a secondary service). For example, the third party may interact with a temporary copy of the hosted service. Thereafter, the customer may, given the consent of the third party, view details of the third party's interaction with the copy, and may be enabled to merge any alterations with the initial hosted service. In addition, a customer may monitor their own interactions with a hosted service or copies of a hosted service, and view details of the differences between multiple versions of the hosted service.

  • Patent number: 9264975
Abstract: When a wireless terminal attaches to the network, the wireless terminal is assigned a temporary identifier. Different sets of access restrictions are associated with different blocks of temporary identifiers. When a message and a corresponding temporary identifier is received by the network from a requesting wireless terminal, an access controller identifies the block to which the assigned temporary identifier belongs and determines the access restrictions associated with that block.

  • Patent number: 9240952
Abstract: During communication of a large data message from a client application to a server application, requirements to communicate smaller control messages can arise. To facilitate timely communication of control messages, a client application may include a chunking module that divides a data message into chunks that can be sent as a sequence of individual data message packets. When a control message needs to be sent, the sequence of data message packets can be interrupted to send a control message packet. At the server application, the sequence of message packets is processed so that data message packets are appended to a data message and control messages are extracted for immediate processing.

  • Patent number: 9172774
Abstract: A router can process the data received from the local area network at a network protocol stack local to the router, while processing data received from the wide area network normally. The offloading of the stack processing from the source of the data to the router reduces the number of network hops that both packets based on the received data, and acknowledgements from the destination of the packets, must travel, thereby reducing communication latency. In addition, offloading the stack processing to the router can reduce the processing load at the data source. Further, the router can implement different quality of service or other processing protocols for the local area and wide area traffic.

  • Patent number: 9130778
Abstract: Described spam detection techniques including string identification, pre-filtering, and frequency spectrum and timestamp comparison steps facilitate accurate, computationally-efficient detection of rapidly-changing spam arriving in short-lasting waves. In some embodiments, a computer system extracts a target character string from an electronic communication such as a blog comment, transmits it to an anti-spam server, and receives an indicator of whether the respective electronic communication is spam or non-spam from the anti-spam server. The anti-spam server determines whether the electronic communication is spam or non-spam according to features of the frequency spectrum of the target string. Some embodiments also perform an unsupervised clustering of incoming target strings into clusters, wherein all members of a cluster have similar spectra.
