  • Patent number: 8948494
Abstract: Methods and systems for generating unbiased wafer defect samples are provided. One method includes selecting the defects detected by each of multiple scans performed on a wafer that have the most diversity in one or more defect attributes such that a diverse set of defects are selected across each scan. In addition, the method may include selecting the defects such that any defect that is selected and is common to two or more of the scans is not selected twice and any defects that are selected are diverse with respect to the common, selected defect. Furthermore, no sampling, binning, or classifying of the defects may be performed prior to selection of the defects such that the sampled defects are unbiased by any sampling, binning, or classifying method.

  • Patent number: 8818106
Abstract: A method for determining a matching score between a first set of n1 feature points, and a second set of n2 feature points includes producing a triple-wise affinity tensor, determining a leading eigenvector of the triple-wise affinity tensor, iteratively producing a binary optimal assignment vector and determining a matching score between the first set of feature points and the second set of feature points. The triple-wise affinity tensor includes the affinity score of assignments of triplets of feature points of the first set of feature points and triplets of feature points of the second set of feature points. The procedure of iteratively producing a binary optimal assignment vector is performed by discretization of the leading eigenvector. The procedure of determining a matching score is performed according to the triple-wise affinity tensor and according to the optimal assignment vector.

  • Patent number: 8798394
Abstract: A biological sample such as a tissue section is stained with one or more quantum dots and possibly other fluorophores (total number of fluorophores N). A camera coupled to a microscope generates an image of the specimen at a plurality of different wavelengths within the emission spectral band of the N fluorophores. An analysis module calculates coefficients C1 . . . CN at each pixel which are related to the concentration of each of the individual fluorophores. Morphological processing instructions find biological structures. A display module displays quantitative analysis results to the user. The quantitative analysis display includes histograms of the biological structures, scatter plots of fluorophore concentrations, statistical data, spectral data, image data and still others.

  • Patent number: 8731305
Abstract: Map data are overlaid on satellite imagery. A road segment within the map data is identified, and the satellite imagery indicates that the road segment is at a different geographic position than a geographic position indicated by the map data. The endpoints of the road segment in the map data are aligned with the corresponding positions of the endpoints in the satellite imagery. A road template is applied at an endpoint of the road segment in the satellite imagery, and the angle of the road template that matches the angle of the road segment indicated by the satellite imagery is determined by optimizing a cost function. The road template is iteratively shifted along the road segment in the satellite imagery. The geographic position of the road segment within the map data is updated responsive to the positions and angles of the road template.
