  • Patent number: 11157911
Abstract: A station device in a biometric pre-identification system uses identity to perform one or more actions. Identities are determined (such as via a backend) using biometric information. A biometric pre-identification device obtains biometric information and/or a digital representation thereof from a person approaching the station device. The biometric pre-identification device transmits such to the station device, facilitating the station to begin and/or perform various actions. The station device begins or performs the actions using the identity determined based on the biometric information before the person arrives at the station device.

  • Patent number: 11155268
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for utilizing passenger attention data captured in vehicles for vehicle localization and location-based services. In an embodiment, a method includes receiving sensor data from one or more sensors of an autonomous vehicle operating in an environment, and generating passenger attention data for a passenger of the autonomous vehicle using the sensor data. A processing circuit determines one or more physical features in the environment based on the passenger attention data. The processing circuit obtains physical feature data associated with the physical feature(s) and initiates one or more actions on the AV based at least in part on the physical feature data. The actions include but are not limited to requesting content for physical features(s) and assisting in localization of the autonomous vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11151826
Abstract: A system for limiting access to confidential information including storage circuitry for storing the confidential information. An access enabling circuit allows access to the storage circuitry in response to a first level of an enabling signal. A processor generates the enabling signal for a predetermined amount of time in response to sensing of a change of a predetermined value that is produced in response to an act by a person responsible for the confidentiality of the confidential information. The enabling signal assumes a second level after the predetermined amount of time to block access to the storage circuitry.

  • Patent number: 11087625
Abstract: An abnormality notification device in a vehicle determines contents of situation information received from a second vehicle as abnormal at a certain timing. Then, the vehicle transmits abnormality information including identity information of the second vehicle to a station at a next timing, and transmits at a yet next timing a report completion notice notifying a nearby vehicle of the identity information of the second vehicle regarding which the abnormality information has already been transmitted to the station. When the nearby vehicle detects the second vehicle at still yet next timing as an abnormal vehicle, the nearby vehicle refrains from transmitting the abnormality information of the second vehicle at a subsequent timing, since the nearby vehicle has already received the report completion notice from the vehicle at the yet next timing. As such, unnecessary communication between a vehicle and a station is suppressed, and frequency utilization efficiency is improvable.
