Abstract: The invention provides a method, system and computer program product for analyzing a service based system. Business model data including one or more activities is received. A plurality of service characteristics is determined from the business model data for each activity group. The plurality of service characteristics are used to determine inferences regarding candidate service identification, service portfolio evaluation, service impact analysis, and so forth corresponding to the service based system.

Abstract: A business process model (BPM) handler may determine a business process model including tasks arranged according to a directed graph, at least some of the tasks associated with requirements for executing the tasks. An information technology topology model (ITTM) handler may determine an information technology topology model with connected resources used to perform at least some of the tasks. A behavior model generator may determine behaviors of the resources from a behavior information library, and may generate a behavior model in which the tasks and their respective requirements are connected to the resources and to their respective behaviors. A continuity analyzer may thus provide a continuity analysis, based on the behavior model.

Abstract: Techniques are presented for rescheduling manufacturing releases. A plurality of release information elements are identified based on a first run of a first advanced planning system. The release information elements comprise dates of planned manufacturing release and quantity. The plurality of release information elements are sorted based on associated demand-likelihood factors and a plurality of sorting criteria. Swapping candidates are selected and swaps are performed based on the demand-likelihood factors and at least one swapping constraint. The plurality of release information elements are then fixed and output as results. A second run of an advanced planning system is optionally performed before output and may include stability features.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for emotional mapping, such as of online users, based at least in part on online activities of users. Techniques are provided in which information including a set of emotional states is generated or obtained, such as a hierarchical network of emotional states representing a spectrum of human emotions. Information regarding user online activities and content choices of a user is obtained. Based at least in part on this information, the user is classified into an emotional state of the set of emotional states, and advertisements or content may be targeted to the user accordingly.

Abstract: Share of Wallet (“SOW”) is a modeling approach that utilizes various data sources to provide outputs that describe a consumers spending capability, tradeline history including balance transfers, and balance information. These outputs can be appended to data profiles of customers and prospects and can be utilized to support decisions involving prospecting, new applicant evaluation, and customer management across the lifecycle. A SOW score focusing on a consumer's spending capability can be used in the same manner as a credit bureau score.

Abstract: It is possible to accurately grasp the taste of each user and provide information in which the taste thereof is accurately reflected. Store information kept in a store information storage unit (100) is provided to each user. User taste information (T) including the values of taste on feature items of each genre is stored for each user in a user taste information storage unit (110). Store evaluation information (E) including the values of evaluation on the feature items of its genre is stored for each store in a store evaluation information storage unit (120). A store information providing unit (130) selects store information having the store evaluation information (E) matched with the user taste information (T) and provides it to the user. Abstract: A method whereby vendors and purchasers settle invoices and account for sales taxes, integrated with the drawing, accepting, guaranteeing, endorsing, discounting, presenting, and cash settlement of electronic bills of exchange in all traded currencies (Ebill). Ebills are activated automatically as a direct consequence of the approval of one or more invoices for payment. Acceptance is against a guarantee with a managed credit risk limit or endorsed Ebills. Settlement is also activated by matching a purchase order to a goods received or delivery note or bill of lading. A single instance of each invoice and Ebill is held for all functions required by vendors, purchasers, risk managers, Ebill traders, discounters, guarantors and banks. Trading accounts are represented by a single ledger instance with automated updating of their back-office ledgers. Settlement reconciliation is supported by messages related to individual transactions and by quantified debit advice notes reconciled with credit notes.

One process includes operations for generating a business object containing parameters and plan data of a business plan, the plan data represented by a plurality of aggregation levels. A change to a particular item in the plan data is identified, the change associated with a particular aggregation level. The change to the particular item is automatically propagated to a lowest level of granularity of the plan data, and the change to the particular item is available to each of the plurality of aggregation levels.

Abstract: A method for managing performance of an IT service delivery process to ensure the changes meet service performance objectives. Key performance metrics (KPIs) of a service delivery process are collected in a continuous manner at defined time intervals, both before a change to improve performance is applied to the process (baseline measurements) and after a change is applied to the process (post-change measurements). A process behavior graph is generated comprising each baseline and post-change performance measurement at the time interval collected, the time interval at which the change was applied to the process, and the performance objectives for the process. The graph is displayed to a user to enable the user to determine the impact the change has on the service delivery process in view of differences between the baseline and post-change performance measurements, and to determine whether the process meets performance objectives in view of the performance objectives.

An evaluation of each of the distributions of the component services may be determined based on a metric associating weighted values with a consumption by each distribution of respective resources associated with each of the first and second network nodes. The method includes periodically receiving a sales forecast for an enterprise over a configurable period of time, periodically receiving actual sales information, sales anomalies and anticipated events within the at least one of the clusters of stores over a computer network, determining positive and negative deviations from the anticipated sales of the sales forecast based on the sales information, determining whether one or more trends are occurring or have occurred using a pre-defined mathematical expression based on the sales information, the positive and negative deviations, and the sales anomalies, adjusting the anticipated sales of the sales forecast based on the sales anomalies, the trends and the anticipated events, and outputting the adjusted sales forecast to a user.

Abstract: Methods and computer systems for forecasting demand and availability of resources of a geographic region are provided. Physical, operational, traffic and construction data for a geographic region for a specified time period is utilized to compare the operational needs for at least one resource for a geographic region to the available resources to forecast demands and availability of the at least one resource for the geographic region over the specified time period and determine whether the demand for the at least one resource exceeds the availability of the at least one resource. The forecasted demand and availability of the at least one resource for the geographic region for the specified time period is stored and presented.
