  • Patent number: 11519502
Abstract: A closed-loop hydraulic circuit associated with a swing mechanism of a machine is controlled to obtain both a pressure control during acceleration and deceleration of the swing mechanism and a velocity control during coasting. In this manner, a system pressure in closed-loop hydraulic circuit is maintained below a maximum allowable pressure during acceleration and deceleration, and the swing mechanism can be rotated at a desired constant speed during coasting. This is achieved by controlling a hydraulic actuator adjusting the displacement of a variable displacement pump in different control modes, depending on a comparison between a desired displacement of the pump and an actual displacement of the same.

  • Patent number: 11512449
Abstract: An excavator or other work machine includes a tilting bucket operated by a hydraulic actuator controlled by a bucket control valve responsive to control signals including a bucket shake control signal, which causes the bucket to move repeatedly in the rack and dump directions to shake debris from the bucket in a bucket shake operation. The actuator is powered by pressure from a hydraulic pump, and a control system includes an unloader valve to relieve pressure from the supply line to unload the pump when there is no demand for power. The control system is arranged to maintain a constant pressure signal in a load sensing line, to maintain the unloader valve constantly in a closed condition, for the duration of the bucket shake operation. This may be achieved by pressurising an actuator of a quick coupler to lock the bucket to the machine.

  • Patent number: 11506275
Abstract: The disclosure provides a hydraulic control device capable of suppressing an excessive increase in the rotation speed of a second pump and stabilizing the discharge pressure of the second pump. The target rotation speed of the second pump for making a pressure value of a first oil close to an estimated value of a pressure value of a third oil is calculated, and a feedback amount with respect to the target rotation speed is calculated by subtracting the estimated value of the pressure value of the third oil from the pressure value of the first oil detected by a hydraulic sensor. Time regions for performing calculation of the feedback amount include an update region in which the feedback amount with respect to the target rotation speed is updated, and a hold region in which update of the feedback amount with respect to the target rotation speed is temporarily stopped.

  • Patent number: 11486421
Abstract: Hydraulically-amplified, self-healing, electrostatic transducers that harness electrostatic and hydraulic forces to achieve various actuation modes. Electrostatic forces between electrode pairs of the transducers generated upon application of a voltage to the electrode pairs draws the electrodes in each pair towards each other to displace a liquid dielectric contained within an enclosed internal cavity of the transducers to drive actuation in various manners. The electrodes and the liquid dielectric form a self-healing capacitor whereby the liquid dielectric automatically fills breaches in the liquid dielectric resulting from dielectric breakdown. Due to the resting shape of the cavity, a zipping-mechanism allows for selectively actuating the electrodes to a desired extent by controlling the voltage supplied.
