  • Patent number: 11975573
Abstract: A pneumatic tire may include a tread, an inner tire surface positioned opposite the tread, and an internal heat exchanger attached to the inner tire surface. The wheel assembly may include a wheel rim, the pneumatic tire, and a pump. The pneumatic tire may be attached to the wheel rim. The pump may be attached to the wheel rim outside of the pneumatic tire and configured to rotate with the wheel rim. The pump may be coupled to the internal heat exchanger through an opening in the wheel rim. The wheel assembly may further include a coolant disposed in the internal heat exchanger and configured to absorb heat from the pneumatic tire. The wheel assembly may also include an external heat exchanger configured to remove heat from the coolant.

  • Patent number: 11964521
Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes a tread development width TDW in a tread portion and a tire maximum width SW which satisfy 0.70?TDW/SW?0.75. A profile line forming an outer surface of a sidewall portion in a tire meridian cross-section includes at least three arcs having mutually different radii of curvature. In the profile line, a radius of curvature R1 of an arc from a first point to a second point, a radius of curvature R2 of an arc from the second point to a tire maximum width position, and a radius of curvature R3 of an arc forming a portion on an inner side in the tire radial direction from the tire maximum width position satisfy R1>R2>R3. A height SDH in the tire radial direction from a bead heel to the tire maximum width position and a tire cross-sectional height SH satisfy 0.47?SDH/SH?0.50.

  • Patent number: 11938758
Abstract: A tire comprises a tread portion axially divided by circumferential grooves into a first middle land portion, a crown land portion and a second middle land portion. Each land portion has a profile protruding radially outwardly from a reference tread profile. The maximum protrusion amount of the second middle land portion's profile is larger than the maximum protrusion amount of the crown land portion's profile which is larger than the maximum protrusion amount of the first middle land portion's profile.

  • Patent number: 11926182
Abstract: A first belt cord made of organic fibers of a spirally wound belt layer extends at an angle of equal to or less than 5° relative to a tire equatorial plane, a second belt cord made of organic fibers of a zigzag belt layer extends at an inclination of an angle of 2° to 45° relative to the tire equatorial plane, to folding back points where the second belt cord is folded back at each width directional end edge of the zigzag belt layer, and a relation of N95>N50 is satisfied. N50 is the number of stacked belt layers of the spirally wound belt layers, at 50% of half the length of a maximum belt width of belt layers from the tire equatorial plane. N95 is the number of stacked belt layers of the spirally wound belt layers, at 95% of half the length of the maximum belt.

  • Patent number: 11919334
Abstract: A two-wheeled vehicle tire achieves a further improvement particularly in the traction performance during turning on soft ground. A two-wheeled vehicle tire includes a tread portion formed in an annular shape. The tread portion includes: center land portions arranged on a tire equator CL; middle land portions arranged on the tire width-direction outer side of the center land portions; and shoulder land portions arranged on the tire width-direction outer side of the middle land portions, and T-shaped or Y-shaped land portions each constituted by three partial land portions connected at one end are arranged between the center land portions and the shoulder land portions.

  • Patent number: 11872847
Abstract: A tire includes a circumferential direction groove and plural protrusions. The circumferential direction groove is formed in a tread face so as to open toward an outer side in a tire radial direction. The plural protrusions are formed so as to project to a projection height of from 0.1 mm to 1.0 mm from a groove bottom face or a groove side face of the circumferential direction groove, and are spaced apart by a spacing of from 0.1 mm to 1.0 mm. A center line MA, MB linking a center point of a leading end side with a center point of a base end side of each of the plural protrusions leans with respect to a perpendicular line HA, HB such that the leading end side of the protrusion is positioned further toward a tire rotation direction upstream side than the base end side of the protrusion when viewed along a tire width direction or the tire radial direction.

  • Patent number: 11760133
Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes shoulder lands and a center land, defined by main grooves on both sides of an equator in a zigzag pattern along a circumferential direction, are defined in a tread. Shoulder lug grooves extending in a width direction are formed in each of the shoulder lands. First and second center lug grooves, which extend from the shoulder lug grooves across each of the main grooves and are inclined at an angle of 45°-70° with respect to the width direction, are disposed in the center land. The first center lug groove terminates at the equator, and the second center lug groove terminates without reaching the equator. The first and second center lug grooves are alternately disposed in the circumferential direction. Connecting grooves inclined in an opposite direction to an inclination direction of the center lug grooves to connect the center lug grooves are formed in the center land.
