Abstract: A roll-on applicator for use in applying a flowable media to a surface includes a housing which is constructed and arranged so as to define a first chamber and a second chamber which is in communication with the first chamber, a generally-spherical ball received within the first chamber, a spring-biasing valve received within the second chamber and a sealing insert positioned between the ball and the valve. The sealing insert is moveable between a first position wherein a flow passageway between the first and second chambers is open and a second position wherein the flow passageway between the first and second chambers is closed.

Abstract: A ballpoint pen tip is provided in which a curved contact surface, which has a curvature different from a curvature of the ball, is provided on the bottom wall of the ball holding chamber, and the ball is in contact with a contact part which is a part of the contact surface; and between the ball and the contact surface, a first gap is formed to extend from a side of the ink circulation hole up to the contact part such that the first gap gradually narrows from the side of the ink circulation hole, and a second gap is formed to extend from a distal side of an ink circulation groove up to the contact part such that the second gap gradually narrows from the distal side of the ink circulation groove.

Abstract: A deodorant package with an expanding platform is provided. The deodorant package has a threaded shaft connected to a rotatable dial. An elevator with an platform engages the threaded shaft. The platform has a first section joined to a second section by at least one flexible hinge such that the first section and the second section are biased to expand to contact an inner wall of the body of the package. An advantage that may be realized in the practice of some disclosed embodiments of the deodorant package is that a significant draft angle may be used that aids manufacturing.

Abstract: A dispensing apparatus includes a display panel having a back surface and a dispensing device coupled to the back surface of the display panel. The dispensing display device may include a medicament pad configured to dispense medicine, lotion, or the like. The dispensing apparatus includes a display housing. The display panel is selectively coupled to the display housing so as to define a void between the display panel and the display housing when coupled thereto. The dispensing device is selectively positioned at a first configuration in which the dispensing device is situated within the void and a second configuration in which the dispensing device is situated outside the void. The display housing may include one or more channels and the display panel may include one or more bosses such that display panel may be reversed in orientation by slidable operation of respective bosses in respective channels.

Abstract: A mascara application system includes an applicator for mascara and a mascara container. The applicator may include two brushes, and have a reverse tweezers arrangement, by which the brushes may be spaced apart from one another when pressure is applied to a handle portion of the applicator, and the brushes may be positioned adjacent to one another when no pressure is applied to the handle portion. An optional applicator container may hold a handle portion of the applicator, while enabling its actuation to operate the applicator. The mascara container, which holds mascara and is configured to receive the brushes, may include a separate portal for each brush, as well as a squeegee or other element for removing excess mascara from each brush. Methods for applying mascara to lashes are also disclosed.

Abstract: An applicator includes a squeezer for pushing out a content liquid to an applicator part, and the shape of a content liquid delivering port of the applicator part is formed to be oval or rectangular while the minor axis and major axis on the delivery port side are specified to be 0.5 to 2 mm and 2 to 8 mm, respectively. In this applicator, large-sized particles can be delivered by enlargement of the bore inside the applicator part. Further, formation of an oval delivering port allows for drawing fine lines in the minor axis direction and thick lines in the major axis direction. Moreover, provision of small-diametric projections at the front end of applicator, enables drawing of long lines and retaining of the liquid cosmetic stored between projections.

Abstract: A tool for applying a cementitious mixture to a flat surface includes a head assembly for delivering the mixture to the flat surface. A housing is provided for containing a supply of the mixture and a control assembly is interposed between the housing and the head assembly for controlling the flow of the mixture from the housing to and through the head assembly. The control assembly is responsive to the housing being pressed against the flat surface to control the angle of the head assembly relative to the control assembly and to control the flow of the mixture through the head assembly.

Abstract: Application of uncured adhesive material in bead ring on a surface using a device that includes a nozzle comprising a nozzle intake port, a nozzle outlet port, and a nozzle cavity connecting and providing fluid communication between the inlet and outlet ports. The nozzle intake port receives uncured adhesive material into the nozzle cavity from a source of uncured adhesive material. The outlet port has an annular shape that forms an annular bead of adhesive material on a surface onto which the nozzle is dispensing adhesive material. The nozzle cavity comprises an annular flow path leading to the annular outlet port and shaped to dispense adhesive material through the outlet port axially. The nozzle comprises inner and outer concentric walls defining the annular flow path therebetween.

Abstract: A paint/stain stick pad, for use with a paint/stain reservoir handle and dispensing plunger for coating deck boards with opposing side edges having joints therebetween, has a platform having a top and a bottom. The top has a pivotal connection to the handle and a paint/stain inlet in flow communication with the paint/stain in the reservoir handle. The bottom has a paint/stain dispensing and spreading surface in flow communication with the paint/stain inlet for evenly dispensing the paint/stain along the dispensing surface onto the boards. A central cut out is provided in the platform into which a stain/paint applicator is mounted in a floating arrangement within the cut out and biased downwardly as to dispense paint/stain onto the opposing board edges in the joints.

A space between the nib and the ink supply wick is filled with the wick cover. The nib is made of a synthetic resin material in which engineering plastic is used. Therefore, the nib wear resistant and duration of the nib or the writing instrument can be extended.
