  • Patent number: 10653980
Abstract: Disclosed are capsule/tube connector/tube assemblies that eliminate a connection point in a filter capsule apparatus. A relatively soft tube is thermally or sonically bonded to a relatively hard tube connector that may have a tube receiving bore, a frustoconical tube receiving channel or a straight tube receiving channel. The tube connector is bonded to a filter capsule port. The manufacturing process can be either a one-step process bonding the tube and capsule during formation of the tube connector in one step, or a two-step process that binds the tube to the tube connector in one step and binds the tube connector to a filter capsule port in a second step. Single and dual-walled tubes may be used as well as single and dual-walled tubes having reinforcing material superposed about or embedded in the tube wall(s). A tube support collar is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10603613
Abstract: The descriptions relate to preventing assembly of a fluid filter apparatus unless a filter cartridge is installed, and preventing assembly of a fluid filter apparatus if the incorrect filter cartridge is installed. A mechanism includes cooperation of a movable member and a structure that can move the movable member to ensure that a fluid filter apparatus cannot be completely assembled, for example connecting its filter head to its shell, when there is no cartridge installed inside the shell or when there is an attempt to install an incorrect cartridge. This can protect from an inadvertent or intentional failure to install a cartridge (or correct cartridge) in the fluid filter apparatus.

  • Patent number: 10544053
Abstract: Apparatus for removing suspended impurities from a liquid (e.g., wastewater), methods of use, and systems including such apparatus. In an embodiment, an apparatus may include a vessel defining a chamber for receiving gas induced liquid influent through an inlet, the influent including suspended impurities. A riser tube may be provided within the vessel, in fluid communication with the inlet so that liquid influent introduced into the vessel through the inlet is introduced into the riser tube. One or more coalescing members may be disposed within the riser tube. The coalescing members may be sufficiently small to be easily removable by hand, without requiring a crane. The coalescing members may be freely disposed within the riser tube, rotatable within the flow of the liquid influent, aiding the coalescing members in exhibiting some degree of “self-cleaning”, so as to be less prone to fouling and clogging.
