Abstract: An early electrical fire sensing system for a high voltage panel, a low voltage panel, a motor control panel, a distribution board, or a power distribution panel comprises the first laser that emits the frequency beam absorbed by benzyl alcohol gas and the first detecting device which detects the first beam intensity; the second laser which emits the frequency beam absorbed by BHT gas and the second detecting device which detects the second laser beam intensity; and a main control unit which consists of a microprocessor. The main control unit gives a fire alarm event when the first laser beam intensity of the first detecting device is decreased more than a reference value, while a fire emergent alarm event when the second laser beam intensity of the second detecting device is decreased more than a reference value.

  • Patent number: 9326100
Abstract: A method of detecting a home location first determines a location of a vehicle using either a WI-FI signal or a navigation system. A distance between the vehicle and the home location is determined followed by determining whether the distance between the vehicle and the home location is greater than a transmission range of a wireless device controller. If the distance between the location of the vehicle and the home location is less than the transmission range of the wireless device controller, an indication is provided in the vehicle to a vehicle occupant that the wireless device controller is within its transmission range of the home location.

  • Patent number: 9217242
Abstract: Fire hydrants each have a band of lamps strapped around them, the lamps powered by a solar collector battery circuit. An RF signal is transmitted to a receiver in the circuit by a remote responder causing the lamps to light up with a coded color related to the water flow rating of each of the hydrants and with a blink rate related to the water pressure of each of the hydrants. Upon arriving at the fire scene responders are able to select an appropriate hydrant for the location and size of the fire. The circuit is able to transmit flow and pressure information to the responders which information is presented on a display screen for early reconnaissance of the water resources at the fire scene.

  • Patent number: 9000898
Abstract: An electrohydraulic controller feedback system and method including an electrohydraulic operator controller and a feedback mechanism is disclosed. An operator controls a machine hydraulic function using the electrohydraulic operator controller, the feedback system senses a property of the hydraulic function, and generates tactile feedback in the electrohydraulic operator controller based on the sensed property. The electrohydraulic operator controller can be, for example, a joystick or control lever. The tactile feedback can be vibrations that vary based on the sensed property. The vibration can vary according to a profile relating the vibration amount to the sensed property. The profile can include portions of various shapes, for example, linear, exponential or parabolic, and can include breakpoints. The profile can include high sensitivity regions where small changes in the sensed property result in large vibration changes.

  • Patent number: 8970401
Abstract: A collision avoidance system for deciding whether an autonomous avoidance maneuver should be performed in order to avoid a mid-air collision between a host aerial vehicle equipped with the system and an intruding aerial vehicle. At least one electro-optical sensor captures consecutive images of an intruding vehicle such that the vehicle manifests itself as a target point in the images. An image processor estimates the azimuth angle, elevation angle and a first time-to-collision estimate of the time to collision between the host vehicle and the intruding vehicle. The first time-to-collision estimate is estimated based on scale change in the target point between at least two of said consecutive images. A tracking filter is arranged to estimate a second time-to-collision estimate using the azimuth angle, the elevation angle and the first time-to-collision estimate estimated by the image processor as input parameters.
