  • Patent number: 10349912
Abstract: In a method, a water equivalent diameter (abbreviated to WED) of a slice plane of an examination volume is received via an interface. In an embodiment, a noise level based on the water equivalent diameter is determined via a computer unit, the noise level being an upper threshold value for the noise of a CT image dataset. Furthermore a reference dose parameter is determined based on the noise level and the water equivalent diameter via the computer unit, the reference dose parameter corresponding to a first x-ray dose, which would be absorbed in the slice plane during a recording of a first CT image dataset of the examination volume upon the noise of the first CT image dataset corresponding to the noise level. Finally, the reference dose parameter is indirectly proportional to a power of the noise level.

  • Patent number: 10342508
Abstract: A radiation image capturing system includes a capturing room and a console. The capturing room includes a bucky apparatus, a radiation irradiating apparatus and a detecting unit. A plurality of portable radiation image capturing apparatuses can be loaded on the bucky apparatus. The radiation irradiating apparatus is able to simultaneously irradiate radiation to the plurality of portable radiation image capturing apparatuses. The console is associated with the capturing room and obtains capturing order information. The console allows the portable radiation image capturing apparatuses to advance to a capturing possible state when the console judges that capturing in the capturing order information is long length capturing. The console allows only one of the portable radiation image capturing apparatuses to advance to the capturing possible state when the console judges that the capturing is not the long length capturing.

  • Patent number: 10342996
Abstract: A radiation therapy apparatus determines a set of angles that have a tracking quality metric value that satisfies a tracking quality metric criterion. During an alignment phase or a treatment phase for a treatment stage of a target by the radiation therapy apparatus, the radiation therapy apparatus performs selects at least a first angle and a second angle from the set of angles for a first rotation of the gantry. The radiation therapy apparatus generates, using an imaging device mounted to the gantry, a first tracking image of the target from the first angle during the first rotation of the gantry. The radiation therapy apparatus generates, using the imaging device, a second tracking image of the target from the second angle during the first rotation of the gantry. The radiation therapy apparatus performs the target tracking based on the first tracking image and the second tracking image.

  • Patent number: 10335107
Abstract: An image obtaining unit obtaining a plurality of projection images taken by imaging a subject with different radiation source positions. A pixel value projecting unit projects pixel values of the projection images on coordinate positions on a desired slice plane of the subject based on the positional relationship between the radiation source position with which each projection image is taken and the radiation detector, while preserving pixel values of the projection images. A pixel value calculating unit calculates a pixel value at each coordinate position of interest on the slice plane based on a plurality of pixel values of the projection images projected in a predetermined range relative to the coordinate position of interest on the slice plane to thereby generate a tomographic image of the slice plane.

  • Patent number: 10321887
Abstract: In an image analysis device, an image analysis method, and a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium, it is determined whether a radiographic image is captured by rocking a rocking imaging grid. The image analysis device includes: a radiographic image acquisition section; a dosage data acquisition section that acquires dosage data indicating, in a time-series manner, a dosage of radiation rays exposed to a specific position in an imaging area in a specific period; and a determining section that determines whether the dosage data has a first feature indicating a dosage variation as a plurality of radiation absorbing bodies and a radiation transmitting body disposed between adjacent radiation absorbing bodies pass through a space between the specific position and a radiation source, and determines that the radiographic image corresponding to the dosage data determined to have the first feature is a rocking grid use image captured by rocking a rocking imaging grid.

  • Patent number: 10317350
Abstract: A sample handling apparatus/technique/method for a material analyzer, which provides active, variable concentration of a sample, using a measurement marker introduced into the sample, to measurably concentrate an analyte in a liquid (e.g., water) sample. Active, variable concentration allows otherwise lower level analytes to be concentrated in a measurable way. This enables measurements at higher (e.g., concentrated) levels, which can be extrapolated to obtain their lower, original levels based on the concentration level—measured using the introduced marker as a guide. The sample handling apparatus may be used in combination with an optic-enabled x-ray analyzer, the x-ray analyzer including an x-ray engine with an x-ray excitation path and an x-ray detection path, usable during both during the concentration and analyte measurement.

  • Patent number: 10285661
Abstract: In an x-ray imaging method, the acquisition of a signal image is split off into acquisition of two or more subimages or frames. The first subimage may be acquired with an exposure of a low dose followed by a readout cycle. The dose of the exposure for acquiring the first subimage can be chosen such that it is below the default dose for a particular anatomy. The first subimage may be used to calculate or estimate the parameters of exposure for acquiring a second or subsequent images subimage. The estimation may be such that the total dose received by the imager, in acquiring the first and second subimages, achieves an expected target value to provide an image of good quality. The first and second subimages can be combined to form the final image. A detector array supporting automatic exposure control (AEC) includes AEC pixels providing AEC signals. The AEC pixels are independently or individually addressable and/or readable.
