  • Patent number: 11702095
Abstract: A travel controller detects, from an image representing the face of a driver of a vehicle, an act of the driver checking surroundings of the vehicle, records a time at which the act of checking is detected, and suggests to the driver a lane change for the vehicle to change a travel lane to an adjoining lane. In the case that the act of checking is detected in a precheck period before a suggestion time at which the lane change is suggested, the travel controller makes the vehicle execute the lane change regardless of whether the act of checking is detected in a post-suggestion check period after the suggestion time of the lane change.

  • Patent number: 11676462
Abstract: An RFID portal of an EAS system first interrogates a first zone extending into a controlled area beyond a threshold distance from an interrogating antenna of the portal. The portal defines an exit from the controlled area, the threshold distance being less than a width of the exit. The portal first detects, in response to the first interrogating, a first response of a particular RFID tag. The portal second interrogate, subsequent to the first detecting, in a second zone extending into the controlled area at least to the threshold distance. The portal second detects, in response to the second interrogating, at least one second response of the particular RFID tag indicating a received signal strength of the second interrogating at the particular RFID tag corresponding to a distance from an interrogating antenna of the portal less than the threshold distance. The EAS system alarms in response to the second detecting.

  • Patent number: 11661765
Abstract: A lock and lid lock for an appliance are provided. The lock has a base supporting a driving mechanism, a sliding mechanism, a connecting mechanism and a locking mechanism. The driving mechanism includes a driving unit that drives rotation of a screw rod. A sliding block is connected to a gear that is engaged with the screw rod and drives the sliding block to move linearly back and forth with the rotation of the screw rod. One end of the connecting mechanism is connected to the sliding block and the other end is connected to the locking mechanism. This allows linear movement of the sliding block to be converted into rotational movement of the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism is rotatably connected to the base and may include a locking portion which is configured to unfold or retract relative to the base along with the rotation of the locking mechanism.
