Abstract: Dummy bars with a detachable end comprising: an end portion which has a hook of a smaller width and is an integral part of the dummy bar and a lodgement groove stretching lengthwise in said dummy bar, a detachable head which bears on its outside a connection for attachment of the billet and has within itself a lengthwise groove containing an inside crosswise attachment pin, whereby the groove can lodge the hook of the dummy bar, and whereby said hook cooperates from above with said attachment pin, abuttments provided on the lower side between the end portion with hook and the detachable head and which enable the detachable head to rotate in one direction in relation to the end portion, a latch which pivots within the lodgement groove and can close from below against the attachment pin, a bar to actuate the latch provided and hinged at the end of the latch, and a tension spring connected at one end to the inner end of the bar and at their other end to the body of the dummy bar.

Abstract: At least first and second ultrasonic horns are coupled to one capillary in a state wherein a prescribed angle is defined therebetween. In accordance with the angle defined by a straight line connecting a pad on a semiconductor pellet and a corresponding inner lead of a lead frame with respect to a prescribed direction, control is made of the amounts of ultrasonic wave energy to be applied to the first and second ultrasonic horns. The bonding portion is bonded by the capillary in accordance with a composite vector of those vectors corresponding to the energies supplied to the first and second ultrasonic horns.

Abstract: A method of attaching a sole plate to a hollow metal golf club head by providing a dam integral with the head whereby a metallic melt is sustained around the periphery of the sole plate. The dam is later removed so that the sole plate and golf club head are the same height.

Abstract: A match plate mold-producing apparatus is provided with at least a pair of molding flasks for an upper and a lower sand mold. The pair of molding flasks is alternately positioned in a first mold-forming station in which a match plate carrying thereon a pattern or patterns is vertically held between a pair of squeezing devices movable toward and away from one another along a horizontal axis, and in a second mold-removing station in which mold-jointing operation and mold-removing operation are carried out by cooperation of a vertically movable flask-support device, a vertically movable mold-support device and a vertically movable mold-removing device.

Abstract: Fishing rod holder for ice fishermen or the like made up of a support having spaced support members and a notch in the top of each of the space support members to receive a pin attached to a fishing rod. A later length extending rubber band attached to the supports and the butt of the fishing rod rests on the rubber band so that when the fish pulls on the fish hook the rod will oscillate and jiggle the rod.

Abstract: A dome covered bait carrying animal trap employing a scent attraction through passageways in the base in which an anti-friction support for the trip-trigger results in an improved performance snare trap kill requiring no contact by the user of the traps with the animal caught and eliminated.

Abstract: A method is provided of making a collar (10') having an annular flat outer surface (118) and an inner surface having an inwardly tapering first portion (120) and peripheral outwardly tapering notch portion (122). The method includes the steps of providing a die assembly including a die cavity having an annular seating surface (130) with an opening (132) therethrough and an annular side wall (134) and a reciprocating forming die (136). The die (136) includes a shoulder portion (138) closely fitting against the side wall (134) of the cavity (128) and a cylindrical portion (140) and a frustoconical portion (142) therebetween. The forming die (136) enters the die cavity (128) whereby the cylindrical portion (140) enters the opening (132) of the seating surface (130) so that the cylindrical portion is spaced therefrom.

Abstract: Apparatus for handling a fishing line having hooks spaced apart along it, such as is used in "long line" fishing, as the line is hauled in from the sea, comprises a rail-member, means for hauling the line in a direction at an angle to the rail-member and a guide-member which is engaged by successive hooks of the line as it is hauled, to guide the hooks into engagement with the rail-member, whereby the movement of the line at an angle to the rail-member causes the hooks to slide along the rail-member so as to separate them from the line and feed them towards a storage rail.

Abstract: A fishing line holder for supporting the free end of a fishing line when transporting the fishing gear. The apparatus includes a block having a slot therein for receiving the line and a mounting structure for securing the block to the pole.

Abstract: The feed station is a generally rectangular housing forming an enclosure containing a separate bait cup which cooperates with walls of the enclosure to form an inexpensive disposable product. The housing has a pair of initially covered holes which permit the rodent to enter the housing and travel to an opening offset from the holes which provides access to the bait cup. A screen confines bait pellets within the cup, but it is breakable by the rodent. A dispenser on the wall of the housing provides fluid to freshen the bait.

Abstract: A base bar is longitudinally secured to a fishing rod forwardly of its handle and in alignment with the fishing rod line guide rings. A sleeve-like housing, at the rearward end portion of the base bar, pivotally supports a spring biased lever for movement of its other end portion toward and away from the forward end portion of the base bar. A ring, pivotally secured to the forward end portion of the base bar, supports the lever in cocked position and forms a trigger released by a pull on the fishing line for releasing the lever from its cocked position. A guide ring, on the forward end of the lever parallel with the plane of the pivoting ring, jerks the fishing line rearwardly when the lever is released.

Abstract: A fly trap gun is provided with a fly trap carried on the end of a firing rod mounted for longitudinal movement within a barrel. The fly trap defines a trap chamber provided with a sticky area throughout a substantial portion thereof for catching flies or the like trapped therein. An actuating means causes the firing rod and the fly trap mounted thereon to move rapidly from a loaded position to a fired position for trapping a flying insect in the trap chamber and for subsequently catching the trapped insect on the sticky surface.
