Abstract: A toner for use in liquid electrostatic printing, comprising: a carrier liquid; and, a plurality of toner particles, the toner particles being comprised of a pigment; and a mixture of resins, a major portion of the mixture comprising at least a first resin and a minor portion comprising at least one second resin, the second resin having an affinity for the pigment, that is greater than the affinity of the first resin for the pigment, such that the amount of free pigment in the carrier liquid separate from the toner particles is reduced over the amount that would be present in the absence of the at least one second resin of the minor portion.

Abstract: Desclosed is a heat-developable image-recording material including a support on which are formed at least one image-forming layer and at least one protecting layer formed on top of said image-forming layer, the heat-developable image-recording material being developed by use of a heat development apparatus comprising a roller coming into a driving contact with a surface of the material on the side having the image-forming layer, the apparatus comprising a smooth surface coming into a sliding contact for transport with a surface of the material opposite to the surface on the side having the image-forming layer, wherein at the temperature where the development is carried out, the ratio is 1.
Abstract: There is disclosed an aqueous photothermographic composition comprising a) a photosensitive silver halide emulsion precipitated in a water dispersible cationic starch peptizing agent and b) an oxidation-reduction imaging forming composition comprising (I) a colloidal dispersion of silver compound particles and (ii) an organic reducing agent. The use of a starch peptizing agent reduces the fog in an element using the composition upon thermal processing.
