Abstract: Disclosed are methods for diagnosing Bacterial Vaginosis in a subject comprising performing an assay for the detection of any one or more of Lactobacillus sp., Atopobium vaginae, and Gardneralla vaginalis in a subject sample. Also disclosed are compositions and methods for detecting Lactobacillus sp., Atopobium vaginae, and/or Gardneralla vaginalis nucleic acid in a sample.
Abstract: The invention generally relates to capturing, amplifying, and sequencing nucleic acids. In certain embodiments, linked capture probes and multiple binding and extension steps improve specificity over traditional single binding target capture techniques. Methods of seeding sequencing clusters with captured target nucleic acids are also disclosed. Linked adapters may be used to increase adapter ligation selectively or efficiency and yield. Ligation adapters and primers can be linked to various sequence-specific or feature-specific molecules to selectively bind targets for ligation or amplification with universal adapters or primers.
Abstract: Provided herein are compositions and methods for cellular analysis. Nucleic acid from single cells may be processed in one or more partitions. A partition may comprise a cell bead and one or more enzymes for nucleic acid processing. A partition may comprise a functionalized polymer. In some cases, single cells may be subjected to epigenetic analysis, thereby generating an epigenetic profile for each cell from a plurality of cells.
Abstract: A sex-determination method for a dioecious plant includes obtaining a sample of a dioecious plant and determining a presence or absence of SEQ ID NO: 2 in the sample. The presence of SEQ ID NO: 2 in the sample is indicative that the sample is from a male dioecious plant. Using the sex determination method for a dioecious plant, the sex of dioecious plants may even be determined when the dioecious plants are still young, i.e., when they are seedlings.
