  • Patent number: 6511557
Abstract: A process for the production of cold rolled finished strip with thickness of 0.5-0.1 mm and a maximum width of 2000 mm for direct preparation of end products such as pressed and deep drawn pieces from thin slab casting with a thickness of the bar leaving the mold of 90-50 mm, with preparation of pressed pieces and transfer of the finished pieces to the end user and return of the processing scrap to the steel manufacturing cycle. Also a production line for carrying out such a process is described.

  • Patent number: 6478839
Abstract: A device for induction-heat melting treatment of metal-oxide-powders includes a closed hopper, a heat-resistant piping, for supplying a powder to an induction heating pipe which is made of dielectric material and comes in contact with the lower end part of the heat-resistant pipe in a vertically sliding manner, a raising/lowering drive mechanism for the induction heating pipe, a receiving container, which receives the melt of the powder that has been melted in the induction heating pipe, a cylindrical upper vacuum chamber, which encloses the abovementioned components, an induction heating coil, which externally surrounds the lower part of the cylindrical upper vacuum chamber, an electric precipitation mechanism, disposed at the upper part of the interior of the cylindrical upper vacuum chamber, a tilting pan, which relays the melt that overflows and flows down from receiving container, a tilting mechanism for the tilting pan, a melt storage tank, which receives and stores the melt that flows down from the til

  • Patent number: 5993514
Abstract: There is disclosed a process for separating and recovering nickel and copper values from a nickel-copper matte which may contain iron and arsenic. Finely divided nickel-copper matte undergoes one or more steps of sulphuric acid leaching at atmospheric pressure to produce a nickel sulphate solution and an iron and/or arsenic containing copper-rich sulphide residue. The copper-rich sulphide residue is repulped in sulphuric acid solution to selectively redissolve most of the iron and arsenic and the iron and arsenic containing solution is separated from the copper-rich residue. The iron and arsenic are largely precipitated from the leach solution in a pressure hydrolysis step and the iron and arsenic containing precipitate is separated and discarded. The iron and arsenic-depleted solution is recombined with the copper-rich sulphide residue from the acid repulp step and the resulting slurry is treated in a non-oxidizing pressure leach in which nickel arsenic and iron are extracted.
