Patent number: 5928061Abstract: A wheel-head feed mechanism for a grinder comprising a base and a wheel head which is guided by a linear guide section provided on the base and rotatably supports a grinding wheel via a wheel spindle driven by a motor. The wheel-head feed mechanism includes feed screw mechanism composed of a screw shaft and a nut unit engaged with the screw shaft, the feed screw mechanism advancing and retracting the wheel head with respect to a workpiece, and servomotor for rotating one of the screw shaft and the nut unit. The screw shaft is offset from the linear guide section toward the wheel spindle. The nut unit includes a radial hydrostatic bearing section for supporting the root of a male thread of the screw shaft in the radial direction of the screw shaft by hydrostatic pressure, as well as a thrust hydrostatic bearing section for supporting the flanks of the male thread of the screw shaft in the axial direction of the screw shaft by hydrostatic pressure.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 1997Date of Patent: July 27, 1999Assignee: Toyoda Koki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yasuo Niino, Masahiro Ido, Toshihiko Shima, Eiji Fukuta, Hideki Nagano

Patent number: 5181304Abstract: An alignment system and method wherein a machine module is aligned with and secured to a machine base. A plate is loosely held on the module by screws, and the base and plate have mating pin holes. A pin is inserted through the mating pin holes, and the plate moves to find its aligned position. The screws are then tightened to fix the plate on the module, and the pin is removed. Subsequent realignment can be easily accomplished by reinsertion of the alignment pin to insure registration between the preset plate and base pin holes.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 1991Date of Patent: January 26, 1993Assignee: Cincinnati Milacron, Inc.Inventor: Tadeusz W. Patent number: 4923131Abstract: This invention relates to rotary impact crusher rotors used to communicate rock and to such rotors which are of substantially triangular shape having outlets at the apices of the triangle. This results in a rotor having reduced wearing surfaces and also avoids destruction or explosion of the rotor in the event of an excessive build up of rock in the crusher chamber.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 1988Date of Patent: May 8, 1990Inventors: Pieter J. Patent number: 4562642Abstract: Apparatus for winding and insertion of coils in stators or rotors of electrical machines has a winding station and an insertion station, between which insertion tools 14 are transported by means of a rotary table 10. At the winding station, there is a template 24 which cooperates with a winding nozzle 26. Covering strip mechanism 44 has a rotationally movable guide duct 62 and guide portion 70, by means of which insulating strips 58 are introduced successively into ducts 52 provided for them between the tongues 50 of insertion tool 14. To reach with the guide duct 62 and guide portion 70, all the ducts 52 are situated on circumferences of different size depending on the particular insertion tool 14. Guide portion 70 is rotatable about the central longitudinal axis of insertion tool 14 by means of an adjusting motor 48, and is adjustable radially by means of an adjusting motor 46.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 1983Date of Patent: January 7, 1986Inventor: Karl-Heinz Fichtner

Patent number: 4538765Abstract: Waste paper is defiberized within a container or receptacle in a thick stock range at a low water level. Thereafter, by further infeeding water, the obtained slurry or the like is diluted to a consistency of less than 7% while continuing the defiberizing operation. Finally, the obtained stock suspension is withdrawn through a sieve or screen located at the floor of a defiberizing container. The defiberizing container or receptacle used for performing the method possesses a lower region having a smaller diameter, above which there is located an upper region having a larger diameter.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 1982Date of Patent: September 3, 1985Assignee: Escher Wyss GmbHInventors: Hermann Mayr, Albrecht Kahmann, Gerhard Lambrecht, Wolfgang Heinbockel, Wolfgang Siewert, Josef Maier
