  • Patent number: 10583621
Abstract: A process for forming a glove includes the steps of placing a second layer of a stretchable fabric on top of a first layer stretchable fabric, forming a seam by stitching through the first and second layers of stretchable fabric, trimming around an exterior of the seam through the first and second layers of stretchable fabric so as to separate a glove shape from the first and second layers of stretchable fabric, and turning the first and second layers of stretchable fabric inside out so as to form the glove. The stitching is of a repeatable stitch pattern in which a first stitch extends from a first point to a second point, a second stitch extends from the second point to a third point, a third stitch which extends from the third point back to the first point, and a fourth stitch extending from the first point to a fourth point.

  • Patent number: 10575588
Abstract: A midsole for an article of footwear including a three dimensional mesh including interconnected unit cells and methods of making the same. The interconnected unit cells each include a plurality of struts defining a three dimensional shape. The interconnected unit cells are connected at nodes having a valence number defined by the number of struts connected at that node. The valence number of the nodes may vary to provide customized characteristics to zones or portions of the midsole. The plurality of interconnected unit cells may be organized in a warped cubic lattice structure. The warped cubic lattice structure and the size/shape of interconnected unit cells may vary to provide customized characteristics to zones or portions of the midsole. The three dimensional mesh may be customized based on a biometric data profile for an individual, or group of individuals. The midsole may be manufactured using an additive manufacturing process.

  • Patent number: 10575581
Abstract: A tilt resistor is interposed between shoulder pads or other torso support structures and a helmet. The helmet is coupled to one side of the tilt resistor and the torso support is coupled to another side of the tilt resistor. The tilt resistor acts as a pivot joint allowing the helmet to tilt about a horizontal lateral axis relative to the torso support. An acceleration sensor associated with the tilt resistor locks the tilt resistor so that the helmet stops tilting when tilting acceleration sensed by the accelerometer is greater than a desired maximum amount. The tilt resistor is coupled to the torso support, preferably through a collar, which allows rotation of the tilt resistor about a vertical axis. Stops are provided to limit both rotation about a vertical axis and tilting motion within limited ranges that are preferably adjustable.
