Abstract: A blade bonding device permits individual blades to be bonded to a blade stub for the purpose of replacing a damaged blade. The device includes a clamp frame and hydraulic ram. A blade holder arranged in contact with the axially moveable ram shaft is guided by a precision slot and pin arrangement from the frame. The clamp engages the inner surfaces of the rim of the rotor disk, and has a cooling passage through this location near the rim. The advantages of the clamp and cooling means are to not mechanically or thermally stress the disk.
Abstract: An insect trap includes a lightweight base having a lightweight cover formed of a flexible sheet material. The cover is affixed along portions of the base's continuous edge, and inlcudes flap portions folded between the cover and base. The cover is affixed to the base such that the fold between each flap portion and the cover is arched upwardly away from the base to create a downward biasing force on each flap portion. This biasing force will return the flap portion into contact with the base once an insect has lifted the flap to enter the trap.
Abstract: Banana oil impregnated plastic fishing lures which are provided in various sizes, shapes, colors and resiliency, in order to increase the lure retention time in the mouth of a fish during a strike. In a preferred embodiment the banana oil is impregnated in the plastic fishing lures by mixing the oil into the plastisol while the plastisol is in a liquid state. The concentration of banana oil utilized may be any concentration which is sufficient to impart a banana flavor to the plastic fishing lures. The banana oil may also be added topically to the fishing lures either prior to or after packaging.
Abstract: A collapsible lobster or crab trap is described that has a pyramidal shape with a triangular base and three triangular sides. The sides and the base are covered with a mesh material. At least one of the sides has an entrance leading to a truncated cone shaped net that acts as a passageway to further entrap the catch. The trap has a lifting means in at least one of the sides to assist the diver to remove the catch and rebait the trap by hinging one side of the trap open. There is a net support means to keep the net in an open configuration to provide an easy entry for the catch to enter the trap. The sides are hinged to the base and one of the sides has spring clips near its apex. The hinges and the spring clips allow the trap to be easily placed and secured in its operable pyramidal shape and in its stored collapsed state.
