Patent number: 6711991Abstract: A flattening roller (38) is supported on horizontal guides (32, 34) and rolls alternately in opposite directions along the guides. A tray (30) is arranged horizontally between the guides, and is progressively lifted to approach to the cylindrical surface of the roller. The tray turns by a quarter turn around a vertical axis at the end of each stroke of the roller along the guides. A lump of dough placed on the tray is progressively flattened to a thin, round shape.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2003Date of Patent: March 30, 2004Assignee: CMT Costruzioni Meccaniche e Tecnologia S.p.A.Inventor: Stefano Tomatis

Patent number: 6397737Abstract: A nutcracking apparatus including a housing having opposing sidewalls. A hammer plate having an upper and lower portion is pivotally attached at its upper portion to the opposing sidewalls of the housing. A camshaft is positioned in abutment with a lower portion of the hammer plate, and a drive attached to an outer end of the cam shaft for effecting rotation thereof. An anvil plate having an upper and lower portion is spaced from the hammer plate is pivotally attached at its upper portion to the opposing sidewalls of the housing. A device is provided for moving the lower portion of the anvil plate towards and away from the lower portion of the hammer plate.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 2001Date of Patent: June 4, 2002Inventor: Joseph D. Patent number: 4455091Abstract: A process for regulating the mixing process of rubber mixtures utilizes an internal or closed mixer having a casing containing two paddles with feed and mixing blades mounted on shafts which extend with parallel axes through a mixing chamber. The shafts are arranged to be driven in opposite directions at variable speeds and the mixer is provided with a pressure-operable plunger for closing the mixing chamber. The temperature of the mixing process is controlled with the aid of a thermometer probe and the mixing sequence is controlled on the basis of energy marks and a superimposed desired/actual value follower control of the mixing temperature via the specific energy supplied to the mixture in the mixing chamber, the speed at which the shafts and hence the paddles are driven and/or the pressure applied by the plunger serving as variables for the temperature control.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 1981Date of Patent: June 19, 1984Assignee: Werner & PfleidererInventors: Wolfgang Bamberger, Werner Wiedmann

Patent number: 4427297Abstract: The metering device of the present invention comprises a cylindrical housing having a circular top wall and a circular bottom wall. The top wall has an inlet opening therein and the bottom wall has an outlet opening therein. The outlet opening and the inlet opening each comprise only a portion of the area of the top and bottom walls, respectively.A metering wheel is rotatably mounted within the housing and includes a plurality of pockets circumferentially spaced around its rotational axis. The pockets include open upper and lower ends. A horizontal cover plate is attached to the housing above the metering wheel so as to close off the portion of the inlet opening which is located directly above the outlet opening. The material to be metered drops through the inlet opening and is carried by the rotating pockets of the metering wheel toward the outlet opening. When the material reaches the outlet opening it drops by gravity out of the metering device.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 1982Date of Patent: January 24, 1984Assignee: Cemen-Tech, Inc.Inventor: Joseph F.
