Abstract: A hair cutting and styling device includes a semi-rigid inner band member which has a curved generally semi-circular shape and is sized to substantially encircle the head of a user and be retained in place by an elongated strap member attached onto one end of the inner band member. The elongated strap member is formed of a detachable hook and loop fastening material such as VELCRO.RTM., which permits the device to be releasably retained on the head of a person whose hair is being cut and styled. Alternatively, the device inner band member first portion may include a bendable metal strip and the strap portion includes an elastic fabric segment.
