Abstract: The supra-osseous dental implant has a laminar elongated plate with a central, substantially rigid part extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the elongated plate. An upright extending shank is fixed to the central part. A dental prosthetic can be fixed to the shank. The plate also has two lateral anchoring parts extending by two thin arms from each side of the central part. The arms are malleable and flexible relative to the central part such that the plate can bridge over a jawbone in a transverse direction to the bone crest. The anchoring parts are a vestibular anchoring part and a lingual or palate anchoring part. The anchoring parts have holes and recesses for positioning at least two anchoring screws in the lingual or palate side of the jaw bone and at least four anchoring screws in the vestibular side.

Abstract: An artificial tooth apparatus for dispensing medicating agents to the body through the patient's jaw bone comprising a mechanical movement and kinetic mainspring winder, a tourbillon mechanism, a electronic regulator, and a pump mechanism arranged and configured to allow any medicating agent to be dispensed from the apparatus in a highly controlled and regulated manner according to input received by the electronic regulator and the patient's specific pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic attributes. Multiple artificial teeth or a comprehensive bridge with several chambers may be used in cases where a polypharmaceutical approach is needed.

Abstract: The invention is a hand held nail and foot groomer for people, which includes a spherical nail groomer body having at least one compartment for batteries and tips; a semi-spherical tip cover assembly having an opening, being in substantial contact to the nail groomer body and being movably connected to the nail groomer body; a combination battery, motor and tip compartment; a tip assembly for attachment of various shapes and sizes of nail files and brushes. The preferred embodiment of this invention is one in which the nail body optionally includes a flat bottom section which includes one or more detachable ringed or recessed sections, said ring sections or recessed sections capable of holding rounded and optionally recessed files and/or pumice stones and/emery files and/or foot scarpers useful in grooming feet.

Abstract: The cosmetic brush, which is in particular a mascara brush, includes a bristle portion with a base body and a plurality of bristles that stick out from the base body in a radial direction and serve for the application of a cosmetic product. The bristles have a high bristle density of at least 6 bristles per square millimeter and consist of a plastic material that has a Shore hardness D of more than 40.

Abstract: An artificial eyelash assembly includes a base strand having a first end and a second end opposite the first end and a plurality of hairs. A first loop is disposed proximate the first end of the base strand and a second loop is disposed proximate the second end of the base strand. A first flexible member is coupled to the first loop and a second flexible member is coupled to the second loop.

Abstract: A hairpiece (35) for supplementing the natural hair of a wearer person (42). The hairpiece comprises a support net (10) formed by interconnected strands (11). The net is shaped to conform with the scalp of the wearer person. A plurality of bands of hair (36) are permanently secured spaced-apart, to the strands (11) of the support net (10). The bands of hair are disposed in a predetermined pattern to conceal the net while maintaining flexibility thereof. Independent attachment spring clips (20) are permanently secured in an upper portion of the support net (10) to removably secure the net in the wearer person's natural hair (43) wherein the net (10) and the attachment spring clips (20) are substantially non-visible in the natural hair to supplement and provide styling to the natural hair.

Abstract: A method and instrument for removing material from an internal portion of a tooth wherein the tool used to remove the material includes an elongate shaft extending from a first end to a second end; a cutting surface extending along a working portion of the elongate shaft; a handle attached to the first end of the elongate shaft, the handle including a first end and a second end; a projection attached to the elongate shaft and extending around a portion of the perimeter of the shaft substantially adjacent to the first end of the handle, wherein the projection provides a barrier to prevent a user's fingers from moving beyond the handle directly onto the elongate shaft.

Abstract: Techniques are described for providing an environment for modeling and depicting a three-dimensional (3D) representation of a patient's dental arch to assist practitioners in orthodontic diagnosis and treatment. A system is described, for example, that includes modeling software executing on a computing device to provide a three-dimensional (3D) environment. The modeling software includes a rendering engine that renders a digital representation of a dental arch within the 3D environment, and a user interface that displays a planar guide within the 3D environment as a visual aid to a practitioner in the placement of an orthodontic appliance relative to the dental arch. By interacting with the system, orthodontic practitioners are able to visualize the 3D representation of the dental arch, and precisely position “virtual” orthodontic appliances relative to the modeled dental arch.

Abstract: An applicator head for cosmetic products such as mascara is described. The applicator head has at least two arched supports, each with and outwardly directed applicator surface. The arched supports surround a clearance and define a relatively large, expanded configuration for loading and application purposes. The arched supports flex inwardly, into the clearance, so that the expanded configuration can collapse to permit the applicator head to be drawn through a relatively smaller wiper opening. The applicator head can be used in stock packaging.

Abstract: Partial wig components for users who do not want to wear a full wig. The invention comprises a frontal strip 2 which would mimic a new hair line for person's with a receding hair line. Additionally strips of hair may be attached on other areas of the person's head to mimic a fuller look. A natural, synthetic resinous or rubber component or base is provided for hair strips in which the frontal portion comprising a skin toned or transparent material intended to be indistinguishable from the wearer's actual skin; weaved with individual strands of hair to compose a natural looking hair line. With time the base deteriorates with use, thus a replaceable liner is adhered to the base. Thus most wear and tear will occur onto the liner. The wig is manufactured by implanting hairs or groups of hairs in elongated strips which comprise the wig base.

Abstract: A hair clip that opens and closes using an elastic band. The band holds the jaws in an open position (which eliminates the need for the levers) and the band also urges the jaws together to close the clip (eliminating the need for a metal spring). The clip has a length of material that is attached either across its top or around it. Because the jaws have no attached protruding levers for opening and closing them (like the ones in a traditional ‘butterfly’ clip), the length of material lays relatively smooth across the top of the clip, which not only hides the hinge and elastic band (improving the aesthetic appearance of the clip), it makes it possible to decorated the material or add a companies logo thereto.

Abstract: A system comprises a computer appliance designed to receive, and to present on screen, first information transmitted from identification equipment and based on detection of a jaw bone structure. Modification information which can be introduced into the computer appliance shows a visual dental bridge structure applied on the jaw bone structure with associated teeth and dentine. Orientations for implants are also shown. The computer appliance produces a CAD file which is based on the first information and the modification information. The file is received in a stereolithography machine which issues second information which can be processed in the equipment for production of the physical template which includes through-bores for sleeves which define implant orientation. A working model is produced with the aid of the physical template. The invention also relates to an arrangement of a template produced by stereolithography and by means of information from the computer appliance.

The applicator (1) comprises a plate (10) movably joined by a connection (30) to a well (20), a first fin (70) and a second fin (71) which project from the internal surface (101) of the plate (10) and point to one another and a fluid metering element comprising a lower metering portion (50) positioned on the internal surface of the wall (202) of the well (20) adjacent the rim (222). When said applicator (1) is in a closed state, the lower metering portion (50) and the first fin (70) are substantially juxtaposed to provide said fluid metering element.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a cosmetic case. The cosmetic case opens a discharge port of a main body by a support unit that is pushed backwards when a puff is pressed, and closes the discharge port when the puff is released, thus stopping discharging powder. The cosmetic case for containing powder is constructed so that a control unit controls the discharge of powder to the puff, using the simple support unit having thin legs, thus allowing the powder to be discharged only when necessary. Further, the cosmetic case has the simple support unit, so that the manufacture and assembly of the cosmetic case is easy, and the smooth flow of powder is permitted, and has no part in which the powder may be caught or accumulated, thus allowing the support unit to perform an excellent support function for a lengthy period of time.

Abstract: A dental tool for the removal of dental appliances or oral devices from a user's mouth comprises a universal handle which is substantially cylindrical. Interconnected thereto is an engagement head comprising a first engagement member extending upward and outward opposite the handle, and a second engagement member extending downward and outward opposite the handle. The first engagement member and second engagement member are disposed in angled relation to one another, each terminating in a broad distal tip having a curvilinear edge. The first and second engagement members further contain contact surfaces for contacting and engaging the dental appliance or oral device. The dental tool is comprised of a rigid material, with a resilient portion overlaid on at least the contact surfaces of the first and second engagement members and distal tips thereof. The dental tool may also be stored in a case to make a kit for removing oral devices.

Abstract: Electronic color changing artificial nails comprise a polymer layer in a general shape of a human natural nail, bistable electro-optic material and a ledge on which display electrodes are disposed located at a tip of the artificial nail. Once the artificial nail is attached to the natural nail, the artificial nail can be updated by simply plugging the tip into a separate electronic color changing device which is used to set the color of the nail to whatever the user desires.

Abstract: A healing abutment includes a main body portion and a coupling portion. The main body portion has an inclined section that is inclined such that at least a part of a gum contact portion that contacts a gum when coupled to a fixture that is implanted into an alveolar bone has an outer diameter that decreases from a lower end toward an upper end. The coupling portion is coupled to the main body portion to detachably couple the main body portion to the fixture.

Abstract: An elongated flexible dental strip includes front and rear surfaces defining a thickness therebetween. The strip also includes first and second edges defining a lateral width therebetween. A first portion of the strip further is spaced from a second portion along the length of the strip, wherein the thickness of the first portion is different from the thickness of the second portion. The strip has a constant thickness across a lateral width defined between the first and second edges.
