Abstract: An article of footwear is formed of a molded plastic body member, a molded plastic foot support member which supports the wearer's foot, and a flexible harness which retains the body member on the wearer's foot. The body member has a sole portion, a toe cup, a heel cup, and longitudinal sidewalls which extend from the toe cup to the heel cup. The foot support member has an upper surface, located at about the same height as the upper edges of the sidewalls, which provides anatomical support for a wearer's foot. The harness has a horizontal strap and inclined straps. The horizontal strap is connected to the heel cup, and the inclined straps are connected to the sidewalls of the body member.
Abstract: A pedal block device fixed to the sole of a shoe comprising two elongated bars which are preferably identical, each having a transverse groove or recess, and which are transversely spaced one from the other and parallel to the length or longitudinal axis of the shoe, and fastening means cooperating with the sole of the shoe and the bars for separately adjusting, by longitudinal displacement, the position of each bar relative to the sole, and for fixing these positions.
Abstract: An elastic band with an embedded nonelastic pull cord. When used as a waistband for clothing, it provides both an elastic and drawstring function. The cord's extra length results in a string pulled by the wearer to tighten the article. For an elastic band in the form of cloth, the cord may constitute one of the intertwined threads. Woven, knitted or braided elastic may include the cord as part of its fabric. The band with the cord may find use in swimsuits, pants, shirts, and sportswear.
Abstract: A disposable hand care product comprising first and second glove side elements fabricated of a relatively thin plastic film material, each of these elements having oppositely extending finger receiving areas and juxtapositioned palm receiving areas, these side elements being disposed in face-to-face aligned relationship and being sealingly interconnected to one another around the entire periphery thereof so as to define a pair of glove members arranged in wrist-to-wrist connected relationship, a hand care product disposed interjacent these side elements, and separating means permitting convenient separation of the pair of glove members from one another and simultaneously providing access into the interior of the member so that a person can insert his or her hands into these members and thereby have skin contact with the hand care product disposed therewithin.
