Abstract: A BIOS recovery apparatus for recovering a primary BIOS chip of a motherboard in a computer system comprises a switch controller unit (100), a connecting socket (106), and a plurality of insulated flexible cords (101, 102, 103). The connecting socket comprises a top socket (50), a bottom socket (51) and a printed circuit board (52). The top socket and the bottom socket are attached on opposite sides of the printed circuit board. The insulated flexible cords connect the switch controller unit and the connecting socket together. A secondary BIOS chip is received in the top socket and a primary BIOS chip is received in the bottom socket. The switch controller unit can be a button switch or a parallel port controller.

Abstract: A card connector comprises an insulating housing, a plurality of contacts, an ejector and a pressing member. The insulating housing has a rear wall and a pair of arms extending from lateral ends of the rear wall; the ejector is received on one of the arm and comprises a slider movable in a card insertion/ejecting direction, a spring and a guiding pin, the slider defines a heart groove on an outside surface thereof, and the guiding pin and the heart groove forms a locking member to lock the slider in a final position. The pressing member has a retaining portion and a pressing portion, the retaining portion is retained to a bottom surface of the insulating housing by a hot-melt way, the pressing member presses the guiding pin toward the heart groove to prevent the guiding pin from jumping out from the heart groove.

Abstract: A telecommunications device comprising a faceplate including at least two adjacent jack receptacles, the two adjacent jack receptacles positioned vertically and horizontally offset to each other and a jack mounted in at least one of the two jack receptacles, the jack defining a port in the front end for receiving a plug, the jack also defining spring contacts within the port for making electrical contact with the plug, the jack including insulation displacement contacts electrically connected to the spring contacts, the insulation displacement contacts configured to establish electrical contact with conductors of a cable. A cap manufactured of a material configured to minimize transmission of electrical signal away from its intended path fits about the jack to cover at least a portion of the outer surface defined by the insulation displacement contacts.
