  • Patent number: 6234765
Abstract: A novel ultrasonic pump system using a series of cylindrical ultrasonic transducers comprising an inner cylinder component that propagates ultrasound in an omni-directional pattern emanating from the outer surface of the inner transducer component. Further, it also comprises an outer cylinder component that propagates ultrasound in an omni-directional pattern emanating from the inner surface of the outer transducer component. The inner cylinder component is placed parallel within the outer cylinder component, the outer cylinder component having a hollow inner cylindrical diameter greater than the outer cylindrical diameter of the inner hollow cylinder component. This allows for and equi-distant hollow spacing parameter between the inner surface of the outer hollow cylinder, and the outer surface of the inner hollow cylinder component.

  • Patent number: 6139289
Abstract: A magnetically coupled pump including a housing partitioned into a pump chamber and a motor chamber by a partition wall. An impeller is mounted in the pump chamber. The stator of the motor is mounted in the motor chamber. The rotating shaft of the impeller is received in a recess formed in the partition wall. The rotating shaft is held by a bearing mounted in the recess. An annular permanent magnet is mounted to the side of the body of the impeller which faces the partition wall and arranged about the rotating shaft. An annular sliding contact portion is formed at an end of the bearing and makes a sliding contact with the side of the body of the impeller facing the partition wall. A pair of annular auxiliary sliding contact portions are formed in a part of the rotating shaft and in a part of the bearing, respectively. The auxiliary sliding contact portions start to make a sliding contact with each other when the annular sliding contact portion is worn by a given amount.

  • Patent number: 6095773
Abstract: A vane cell pump with a cup-shaped case top (2) for receiving a pump package (3). The cup-shaped case top (2) is axially extended and contains a damper (14) for the purpose of an effective pressure fluctuation absorption. The case top (2) has an inwardly projecting extension (6) for supporting the pump package (3) in one embodiment. A piston (15), which can be displaced against a spring (18), can be arranged on the extension (6) for improving the damper action in another embodiment.
