A control apparatus is also provided for enabling passage of the pet or pets through the passageway and annunciates location of the pet or pets with respect to interior or exterior of the enclosure. A method is disclosed for remote operation of the controlled pet door to enhance safety of the pet owner attempting to enter residential dwelling.
Abstract: A bird feeder includes a tubular container for bird food and a removable base engageable with projections at a lower end thereof to retain it in place to form the bottom of the container. The base has an upper part in the form of a plug insertable into the container and a lower part having an annular outer part on which the upper part can rotate, and includes locking mechanism projections selectively locked into slots in the upper part by rotation. The projections can be disengaged from the slots in a first rotational position and are locked into the slots in a second rotational position, respectively. The upper and lower parts of the base can be separated from one another with a relative rotation between a first, locked position and a third, disengaged.

Abstract: A teatcup liner comprises an upper mouthpiece, an intermediate barrel and a lower connecting tube. The upper mouthpiece further comprises a mouthpiece transition, a mouthpiece lip, and a groove formed in an outer surface of the upper mouthpiece. The intermediate barrel extends along an axial direction for receiving a teat inserted axially thereinto through said mouthpiece. An inner dimension of the upper mouthpiece defines a cavity bore and the groove is located substantially in line with the largest diameter of the cavity bore.
Abstract: A canine toilet for domestic use has a collector for collecting urine and a deflector arranged essentially vertically to collect male dogs' urine. The collector comprises a tray intended to be placed on the ground, a cover closing the collector, and comprising at least one hopper, at least one extractable drawer inserted into one of the sides of the tray. The deflector is arranged on the collector to permit the flow of male dog urine into the hopper, which is arranged to route the urine into the drawer.
Abstract: A pet toy assembly provides entertainment and exercise for a pet. The assembly includes a frame having a middle section and a plurality of legs. Each of the legs is attached to and extends downwardly from the middle section to support the middle section above a ground surface. A tether is attached to and extends downwardly from the middle section. The tether is movable relative to the middle section. A target object is attached to a distal end of the tether with respect to the middle section.
Abstract: Aquaculture net (30) having a bottom net (31) and side walls (32), said bottom net (31) configured of four or more mesh parts (34) of a chain link fence, said chain link fence comprising a wire direction (33) and a flexible direction, wherein the wire direction of each mesh part (34) is perpendicular to the outer side (36) of said mesh part, said outer side corresponding to the circumference of said bottom net, and wherein the outer sides of said mesh parts are knotted. The invention also provides a method for manufacturing such an aquaculture net.
Abstract: An animal litter with increased moisture retention and accelerated absorbency, a method of manufacture and method of use for indoor urine and feces disposal. Abstract: The invention relates to a potted plant watering device and a water transporting line (WL) which is used in said watering device, said transporting line comprising a fibrous material (FB) which makes use of capillary action and comprising a watertight casing (HU) which surrounds the fibrous material in a tubular manner. The fibrous material (FB) and the casing (HU) are formed in a flat manner in the shape of a strip, and the tubular casing (HU) walls (W1, W2) which are formed in a flat manner in the shape of a strip, which lie opposite each other, and which enclose the fibrous material (FB) between each other are designed with different flexural rigidities. The different flexural rigidities are preferably achieved by forming a second casing wall (W2) with a constant wall thickness (DW) from a homogenous material and by increasing the flexural rigidity of the first casing wall (W1) by means of a central strip (MS) consisting of a second material with a greater wall thickness and/or a higher Shore hardness.
Abstract: A plant growth system is provided in which an irrigation device provides water and/or nutrients to a plant growth substrate. The plant growth substrate comprises an MMVF slab and a single MMVF block on a first surface of the MMVF slab. The MMVF slab comprises a drain hole which is disposed at one end of the surface, and the irrigation device provides water and/or nutrients to the substrate at a position more than 50% of the length of the slab away from the drain hole. This improves the control of water an nutrients in the slab as a whole.
