Abstract: A planting device, a multilayer stereo-planting system using the planting device, and a planting system of a plant factory using the multilayer stereo-planting system are provided. The planting device includes the planting tray and the planting board which can be moved as a whole. The nutrient solution inlet and the nutrient solution outlet are located on the same side of the planting tray. The multilayer stereo-planting system includes the support rack and the nutrient solution supply system installed on the support rack. The planting device can be detachably installed on the support rack as a whole. The planting tray and the planting board of the planting device can be taken out and placed in together, protects the plant seedlings from injuries, and avoids the leakage phenomenon of the nutrient solution.

Abstract: An odor eliminating pet bed assembly for absorbing odors associated with pet beds includes a pet bed that is positionable on a support surface for to have a pet lie thereon. The pet bed has a chamber is integrated therein for receiving an odor absorbing material. A permeable cushion is positioned within the pet bed to have the pet lie thereon when the pet is in the pet bed. The permeable cushion passes the odor absorbing material therethrough. An impermeable cushion is positioned within the pet bed to have the pet lie thereon. The impermeable cushion is comprised of a fluid impermeable material to inhibit the odor absorbing material from passing therethrough.
Abstract: A pet bed that provides an ideal resting place for pets is disclosed herein. The pet bed comprises a fabric shell and a bed filler contained within the fabric shell. The fabric shell defines a support region and a continuous sidewall emanating therefrom to surround an open center area. The fabric shell is made of organic hemp canvas and the bed filler is made of organic latex. The bed filler comprises a padding made of organic latex. A cushion is removably positioned in the center area of the fabric shell. At least one pocket is disposed on the sidewall of the fabric shell, and a healing crystal is removably inserted within the pocket. As a result, the pet bed spreads positive energy and provides comfort, healing, wellness, happiness and peace of mind to a pet and a pet owner.
Abstract: The present application is directed to a packaging for a powdered explosive-detection training aid which may include first and second opposing flexible sheets heat sealed together along less than a periphery thereof and defining a storage compartment therebetween, wherein an unsealed portion of the periphery defines an opening to the storage compartment, wherein at least a portion of the first opposing flexible sheet is a semipermeable material permeable to a vapor emitted from the powdered explosive-detection training aid, with the second opposing flexible sheet being impermeable to the powdered explosive-detection training aid vapor; and a sealing member, wherein the sealing member is secured to the first opposing flexible sheet and, in a closing position, covers the semipermeable portion of the first opposing flexible sheet.

Abstract: A modular commercial plant cloning system and method for stimulating root growth from a plant stem. The system includes a supporting frame, a light source, a fluid reservoir, and a cooling element. The supporting frame further includes a plurality of mounting points for securing a plant holding device tray at a desired height and spacing within the supporting frame below the light source. The plant holding device tray houses a plurality of plant holding devices that the plant stems are placed in during the cloning process. The lower end of the supporting frame includes the fluid reservoir, wherein the fluid reservoir further includes a cooling element therein. Additionally, the fluid delivery system helps transport fluid from the fluid reservoir to the sprayer nozzles which are configured to distribute fluid across the plant stems disposed within the plant holding device tray.
Abstract: The described invention is directed to hydrogel-based transparent soils that can provide heterogeneous, aeration, and porous condition for plant growth. The hydrogel beads are highly tailorable in size and porosity providing an environment that is closer to natural soil. Index-matching allows the beads to appear transparent, facilitating the use of imaging and microscopy of the plant root system in vivo.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a flexible, adjustable, collar. The collar includes a flexible member having a first end and a second end. A plurality of surface features, each having a raised portion on the upper surface the flexible member and a corresponding recessed portion on the lower surface of the flexible member, extend from the first end along the longitudinal axis of the flexible member. An attachment channel to accommodate the passage of the first end of the flexible member is disposed proximate the second end of the flexible member. An attachment feature having a physical geometry corresponding to the recessed portion of the surface feature is disposed on the bottom portion of the attachment channel. As the first end of the flexible member is passed through the attachment channel, the attachment feature engages the recessed portion of each of the surface features.
Abstract: Apparatus and method for autonomously administering a pharmaceutical agent, such as an insecticide, to an animal. A tag assembly is attached to the animal at a suitable location such as through an outer ear thereof. The tag assembly includes a reservoir to retain the pharmaceutical agent. An actuator of the tag assembly is configured to open the reservoir responsive to a control signal from a control circuit. An application mechanism facilitates a transfer of the pharmaceutical agent to the animal in response to the actuator. In some cases, the control signal may be transmitted to the tag assembly from an external source via a wireless connection. In other cases, the control signal may be generated internally using a sensor of the tag assembly. The tag assembly may include multiple reservoirs so that applications of the agent can be carried out at different times and under different conditions as required.

Abstract: A pet bed is disclosed that includes a bolster and removable mattress portion. The bolster may be formed from a foam cushion, a fiber-filled cushion, a lower bolster cover, and an upper bolster cover. The upper bolster cover may comprise an upper and lower outer member such that the lower outer member connects to the lower bolster cover and separates the foam cushion from the fiber-filled cushion. The upper outer member of the upper bolster cover may cover the foam cushion.

Abstract: An animal training and behavior altering device and method is used to teach and train dogs, cats and most other animals from unwanted behaviors such as continuous barking, jumping up, stealing, pet to pet confrontations, unwanted use of furniture and other bad habits and behaviors. The device and method combines sound and smell to trigger senses of the animal in a manner that establishes and reinforces negative feedback. In particular, discharge of a propellant through a specially designed nozzle on a canister creates a loud hissing sound combined with a citrus scent that most animals strongly dislike, whereby the behavior of the animal is corrected.

Abstract: This animal garment can be used on any animal that has a neck, two pairs of appendages, and a mid-body between the two pairs of appendages. The garment traverses the animal's neck and its mid-body. It has a pair of straps and a pair of flaps that are fastened securely by hook-and-loop fasteners in a way that creates constant pressure on the animal. More specifically, when the garment is worn by the animal, a pair of straps extends around the animal's neck. This pair of straps, extending from opposite sides of the central portion of the garment, connects through an object with a hole in it, such as a ring-shaped object. The object serves as the point of reversal for each strap, and the point where each strap doubles back after passing through the aforementioned hole, and becomes fastened and secured in place. The remaining portion of the garment has two flaps extending from opposite sides of the central portion of the garment, which extend around, and conform to, the outside of the mid-body of the animal.
Abstract: In various embodiments, an apparatus for growing plants is provided. The apparatus may include an irrigation apparatus, an accommodating space for accommodating one or more seed mats, and a controller which is configured to control the irrigation apparatus by a program controller. The irrigation apparatus includes a water circuit system for feeding water to the seed mats. The water circuit system includes at least one inlet, a water tank, at least one water circuit pump and at least one outlet. The irrigation apparatus includes a sensor which is configured to determine a conductance of the fed water.
Abstract: A pet toy that is foot-operated by a user while playing with a pet and can be used by a barefoot user or over a shoe of a user is provided. The pet toy generally includes a toy shoe, a pair of straps secured to the toy shoe, an elongated flexible member fitted in the toy shoe and extending away from the toy shoe, and an attachment mechanism to which a toy is attached. As the pet toy is operated by a user, the toy is dangled and moved about for the pet.
