Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system using dynamic beam forming for wireless communication signals in a wireless network. Base stations and/or UEs are provided with antenna systems having a range of beam forming selections. Relative base station and UE locations are one type of criteria used to make beam forming decisions.
Abstract: To provide a wireless communication system and a wireless communication method including: a first terminal apparatus comprising a computer main body and a second terminal apparatus comprising a displaying section, wherein the two terminal apparatuses perform wireless communication with each other without communication crossing. A management center obtains the positional information of a first terminal apparatus, and then records the positional information. The management center determines a communication channel free from communication crossing, depending on the positional information. The communication channel determined by the management center is transmitted to the first terminal apparatus. The first terminal apparatus and a second terminal apparatus perform wireless communication with each other through the received communication channel.

Abstract: The present invention provides a transmission control scheme for wireless digital networks comprised of a plurality of access points each communicating with access terminals, which improves data throughput to access terminals located in areas where interference from the neighboring access points are high. Generally, under the transmission control scheme according to the present invention, the access points are controlled so that neighboring access points will not transmit signals simultaneously with transmission parameters providing high robustness. The transmission parameters include, for instance, transmission power, a modulation scheme and a coding rate. Higher power transmission achieves higher robustness. Transmission at a lower modulation level achieves higher robustness. Transmission at a lower coding rate achieves higher robustness.
Abstract: In a mobile communicating system, a mobile terminal has a position information detecting unit detecting position information, a position information transmitting unit transmitting position information to an information center, an up-load data transmitting unit transmitting up-load data to the information center and an information/service utilizing unit utilizing information/service from the information center.
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed to provide increased signaling in a communications system. A repeater system is operable to receive and store operating characteristic data from a communications unit, the repeater transmitting at least some of the stored operating characteristic data during a detected break in transmission.

Abstract: Automatic activation (i.e., first time access) of digital wireless/cellular mobile telephones with a private/localized wireless/cellular system (i.e. a secondary system) occurs within an area having an overlapping macrocellular primary wireless communication system (i.e., a dominant system). Operation of the secondary access procedure is achieved by shielding/masking an access and authentication process for the secondary system from interference from the control signal levels of the dominant wireless communication system. During the first time access, the secondary system is supplied with the SID and MIN and ESN numbers for authentication and resultant access.
