  • Patent number: 6588136
Abstract: A fire control system with a decocking lever that operates to decock the hammer and also as a safety. The fire control system also has a magazine safety to complement the decocking lever's dual functions. The magazine safety is in the “safety on” position when a magazine is not fully seated in the magazine well and in the “safety off” position when the magazine is fully seated. In one embodiment, rotating the decocking lever by lifting one of the thumb tabs applies the safety if the hammer is cocked and rotating the decocking lever in the other direction causes the sear to release the hammer but catch it before it reaches the firing pin. In an alternate embodiment, the decocking lever can be used as a safety regardless of whether the hammer is cocked or not. Further rotation lower a cocked hammer.

  • Patent number: 6401590
Abstract: A flow blocking device is lowered by cable from a helicopter for insertion into the exhaust gas stack of a fuel burning combustion engine propelling a marine vessel under full engine speed. The wall of the exhaust stack are engaged upon entry of the flow blocking device to insure its retention within the exhaust stack and to initiate in sequence ejection of cooling water into the outflow of the exhaust gas followed by pressurized gas expansion of a flexible hose portion of the flow blocking device into sealing contact with the walls of the exhaust stack to stop exhaust gas outflow and cause back pressure build up to a high engine shut down level.

  • Patent number: 6338219
Abstract: An optical sight is integrated into a bracket that can support an optical scope. The bracket defines a bore therethrough such that an optical line-of-sight is defined that is parallel to the line-of-sight of the optical scope. A post extends vertically upward into the bore at a forward end of the bracket in a way that the post's outboard end can be selectively positioned in the bore along a vertical line extending through the bore. A plate with a viewing aperture formed therethrough is mounted across the bore at an aft end of the bracket in a way that the viewing aperture can be selectively positioned along a horizontal line that is perpendicular to the vertical line defined by the post.
