Abstract: A search engine for connecting entertainment industry entities including a computerized device and a search engine module. The computerized device is programmed with an application having a user interface to interact with users of entertainment entities. The users introduce data preferences through the user interface. The application connects the artists with venues based on preference scores. The search engine module includes a tree data structure and a matching module. The tree data structure is formed by a hierarchical structure of nodes representing genres connected through links creating genre relationships. The matching module analyzes the data introduced by the users and scores how related the different entertainment entities are related to each other.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a method, system, and apparatus for appending a data type combination report to search results in response to receiving a database query to a database. When a user submits the database query to the database for a designated combination of data types, a data management system must ensure that presenting the designated combination of data types to the user does not violate applicable privacy laws. A data type combination report advises the user of any issues regarding the distribution of the results of a set of data types.

Abstract: One example method includes enabling a user to define a query that comprises a hybrid search syntax (HSS), and the HSS is in the form of a single string that comprises a lexical component and a semantic component, receiving the query from the user, parsing the lexical component and the semantic component into respective groups of one or more sub-components, performing a lexical search based on the sub-components of the lexical component, and performing a semantic search based on the sub-components of the semantic component, ranking, separately from each other, results of the lexical search and results of the semantic search, combining the results of the lexical search and the results of the semantic search to create aggregate results, and re-ranking the aggregate results.

Abstract: In some implementations, there is provided a method that includes detecting in a query plan a pipeline that includes a last restart query operator that can cause a retry of the query plan during execution of the query plan; configuring the pipeline to execute the pipeline using an open call configuration, configuring at least one subsequent pipeline to execute in a fetch call configuration; executing the query plan including the pipeline in the open call configuration; sending, by the send operator, a message indicating the last restart query operator cannot cause a retry of the execution of the query plan; and causing execution of at least one operator in the subsequent pipeline to execute in the fetch call configuration, in which result streaming of partial results is allowed for the at least one operator.

Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for searching across multiple user interfaces are provided. For example, a search query may be received from a user of a computing environment. A set of user interfaces, hosted by the computing environment, may be identified (e.g., mobile apps of a mobile operating system, browser tabs of a web browser, etc.). Content within the set of user interfaces may be queried using the search query to identify search results of the search query (e.g., webpages, social network posts, emails, or other content matching the search query). In an example, cached content of the user interfaces (e.g., recently accessed emails cached within a local content buffer cache by the web browser) may be searched using the search query for efficient querying of relevant content, such as through local or offline querying. The search results may be provided to the user.

Abstract: A search engine determines a number of pages to present to a user based on one or more of a variety of factors. The search engine may send the search results to a client machine, which may present a subset of the results along with a pagination control in a scrollable interface. The pagination control may present the number of pages determined by the search engine. The search engine may also determine a number of search results to present prior to the presentation of non-scrollable user interface (UI) elements based on the same or different factors. After the amount of scrolling exceeds a threshold, a non-scrollable UI element may be displayed. Additional thresholds may exist, such that additional non-scrollable UI elements are added as the user continues to scroll.

Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for data privacy. One example method includes providing an end-of-purpose query to applications in a landscape that requests an application to determine whether the application is able to block an object. Votes are received from applications that are either a can-block vote that indicates that the application can block the object or a veto vote that indicates that the application cannot block the object. At least one relevant-application veto model is identified that models which applications can raise a relevant veto vote with respect to another application. Received end-of-purpose votes and the relevant-application veto models are evaluated to determine whether any applications should be block instruction recipients. If any block instructions recipients have been identified, a block instruction for the object is set to each block instruction recipient.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate generally to apparatuses and methods for structuring and processing data. In some embodiments, a method includes receiving stimulus-response data, via a processor, the stimulus-response data including a digital representation of a stimulus and a digital representation of a response. The processor calculates a weight associated with the stimulus-response data, based on a rule, and identifies: (1) a distribution type, based on the digital representation of the stimulus; and (2) a range of inclination values of the distribution type, based on the digital representation of the response. The processor compiles a compressed multidimensional data profile associated with an object of the stimulus-response data and based on the weight, the digital representation of the distribution type, and the digital representation of the range of inclination values.

Abstract: Described are systems and methods that suggest candidate recipients to receive an object identifier from a first user. For example, a first user, independent of a conversation with a second user, may select, close-up, or otherwise view an object identifier. The system, upon detecting the interaction with the object identifier by the first user, may determine one or more second users to suggest to the first user as candidate recipients with which the first user can share the viewed object identifier. The systems and methods may also suggest object identifiers to share with a selected recipient and/or determine two or more users that have a common connection and share an object identifier related to the connection with each of those users.

Abstract: A method for data processing, a computer, and a storage medium are provided. A service processing request text sent by a first service object is obtained on an intelligent conversation page, and the service processing request text is parsed to obtain service semantic information and intention requirement information. A service database associated with the first service object is determined. A first target type indicated by the service semantic information is obtained, and a first service data set of the first target type is obtained from classified data corresponding to N service types in the service database respectively. Information retrieval is performed in the first service data set to obtain retrieval content associated with the first target component, a service result for the service processing request text is generated based on the intention requirement information and the retrieval content, and the service result is displayed on the intelligent conversation page.

Abstract: A format conversion system provides an extendable library of data format conversion functions configured to convert raw data (e.g., telemetry data) from any number of original formats to at least one normalized format. Received raw data is routed to the appropriate format conversion function in the library based on format conversion routing metadata generated with respect to raw data from a particular source and/or a mapping of data sources to corresponding original data formats and/or to corresponding format conversion functions. A selected format conversion function from the library is executed with respect to raw data from particular data sources, and normalized data corresponding to the raw data is output. A format conversion function definition interface enables user configuration of the various format conversion functions, and a configuration interface enables user configuration of the mapping used to route the raw data to the various format conversion functions.

Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for improving performance within a multidimensional database computing environment. A multidimensional database, utilizing a block storage option, performs numerous input/output (I/O) operations when executing calculations. To separate I/O operations from calculations, a background task queue is created to identify data blocks requiring I/O. The background task queue is utilized by background writer threads to execute the I/O operations in parallel with calculations.

Abstract: A file system manager implemented at a provider network identifies a storage device of a first group of storage devices of a provider network as an initial location of a file system object. Based on an access metric associated with the object, the file system manager initiates a transfer of contents of the object to a second storage device of a different storage device group, without receiving a client request specifying the transfer. In response to an access request received via a file system programmatic interface, contents of the object are provided from the second storage device. Based on a second access metric, the object is transferred back to the first group of storage devices.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for scoring an interaction over one or more channels by an end user and an entity by monitoring the communications over the channels and assigning penalties and scores based on topics associated with the communications.

Abstract: Combined feature vectors may be generated to map features of two or more search queries to a common embedding space. A user may provide an initial input query and then provide a refinement query. Independent feature vectors may be generated for each of the initial input query and the refinement query, may be weighted, and then may be combined to form a combined feature vector. The combined feature vector aligns different search modalities within the common embedding space that may be executed against an index.

Abstract: A system and method for connecting architects and design professionals with building product suppliers or manufacturers in the construction industry is disclosed. An example embodiment is configured to: establish a data connection with at least one architect or design professional (A/DP) platform and at least one building material supplier, building product manufacturer, and other building product expert (BPE) platform; match an A/DP at the A/DP platform with a BPE at the BPE platform based on a correlation between the project geographical location, the project type, and the project section as related to specific building product genres and geographical locations in which the BPE has represented possession of product expertise; and enable communication between the A/DP and the matched BPE, the communication including an option of either an open or veiled chat session, the veiled chat session preventing the BPE from viewing private information of the A/DP and/or their project.

The method further includes identifying a first database for first queryable entity, translating the search clause into a first native query executable by the first database, and generating a first set of search results obtained using the first native query. In addition, the method includes identifying a second database for the second queryable entity, translating the search clause into a second native query executable by the second database, and generating a second set of search results obtained using the second native query. The method further includes generating a combined set of results that includes results from the first set and the second set of search results, and communicating the combined set of search results to the client application.
