  • Patent number: 10055503
Abstract: Embodiments of methods, systems, and storage medium associated with processing a search request for items are disclosed herein. In one instance, the method may include determining that a search request includes an indication of intent to obtain information about items that are related to other items, obtaining information about a first set of items from a first data repository, including the obtained information as input in the search request, and obtaining, in response to the search request, information about a second set of items related to the items of the first set from a second data repository. The second data repository may include information about items, including relationship of the second set of items with the first set of items. The item relationship may be determined based on collaborative filtering of information associated with the first or second items. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

  • Patent number: 10055492
Abstract: A system and methods for transferring data generated at one or more data sources to a dictation system are disclosed. In one example embodiment of the method, clinical data may be received from a sending application associated with the one or more data sources. A job may be generated for each of the received clinical data. The method further includes parsing the clinical data to retrieve one or more values that matches a corresponding field in a formatting template. The retrieved values may be normalized based on format settings in the formatting template, and the normalized values may be sent to the dictation system. If the normalized values are successfully sent to the dictation system, the job associated with the normalized values may be marked completed. Otherwise, the job will be marked as failed and a user may be allowed to re-send the normalized values to the dictation system.

  • Patent number: 10055604
Abstract: One embodiment provides a system that facilitates the execution of a web application. During operation, the system allocates a storage space on one or more storage devices for use by the web application. Next, the system creates, for the web application, a private filesystem comprising a private root directory within the storage space. Finally, the system enables access to the private filesystem for the web application through the private root directory in a manner that does not allow access to a host filesystem associated with the one or more storage devices from the web application.

  • Patent number: 10042860
Abstract: A file system manager implemented at a provider network identifies a storage device of a first group of storage devices of a provider network as an initial location of a file system object. Based on an access metric associated with the object, the file system manager initiates a transfer of contents of the object to a second storage device of a different storage device group, without receiving a client request specifying the transfer. In response to an access request received via a file system programmatic interface, contents of the object are provided from the second storage device. Based on a second access metric, the object is transferred back to the first group of storage devices.

  • Patent number: 10037378
Abstract: Techniques for classifying and labeling data are disclosed. In one embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a system for classifying and labeling data comprising one or more processors. The one or more processors may be configured to distribute training data across a plurality of hosts. Each of the hosts may be assigned a random subset of the training data, and configured to cluster its own subset independently. The one or more processors may be further configured to label each cluster of the training data. The one or more processors may be further configured to receive new data, associate the new data with a plurality of the clusters of the training data, and assign the new data a label. The label may be chosen from labels of the plurality of the clusters. And the label may have a maximum associative factor of the new data.

  • Patent number: 10037360
Abstract: Systems and methods provide a media guidance application that recognizes a plurality of natural language search queries for identifying a set of search results. For example, a user may want to determine when the Yankees are playing their next baseball game. The user may structure their query in multiple ways, such as, “When are the Yankees playing?” “What time is the Yankees game?” “When is the next Yankees baseball game?” The user would expect the same result, a description of when the Yankees are playing, regardless of how the query is structured. The systems and methods enable a user to use a plurality of search queries when searching for items or information to get desired results.

  • Patent number: 10025843
Abstract: In one aspect, a method includes merging a first consistency group (CG) with a second CG on a source side of a replication system and merging a third CG with a fourth CG on the target side of the replication system. The first CG and the third CG form a first replication pair (RP) and the second CG and the fourth CG form a second RP. The merging includes changing a replication policy of the first RP to be equal to a retention policy of the second RP, waiting for the first RP and the second RP to stop data transfer, terminating replication of the first RP after the data transfer stopped, updating the first RP and second RP at the source side, updating the first RP and second RP at the target side and resuming replication using the second RP.

  • Patent number: 10025784
Abstract: A determination apparatus has a feature extraction unit and a similarity determination unit. The feature extraction unit counts a number of appearances of each keyword included in a piece of document information and deletes any arrangement including a keyword having the number of appearances less than a threshold under a condition where a number of types of keyword arrangements included in a certain range of the piece of document information is equal to or greater than a certain number and extracts, as features, a plurality of keyword arrangements from the piece of document information. The similarity determination unit determines a similarity between the different pieces of document information by comparing the features extracted from pieces of document information different from each other.

  • Patent number: 10025835
Abstract: A social dating system selects matching users for a viewing user based on common interests between the matching user and the viewing user. The social dating system accesses information related to users from a social networking system, indicating relationships between users and social networking objects. The social dating system determines common interests between users by determining a relatedness of social networking objects. The common interests are used to determine compatibility between users and to select matching users. Suggested messages are also selected for the viewing user to initiate a conversation based on common interests. The suggested messages may be based on promotions by an advertiser.

Abstract: Systems and methods for improving search results using assessment based routing are provided. In example embodiments, social network data for members in an organization and members outside the organization is accessed. An internal member and external member may share one or more attributes, such as working on the same project or within the same company. An electronic assessment can be sent to the internal member to generate assessment data about the external member. The assessment data can be included in an electronic message sent to the external member. Interaction data from the electronic message can be received when the external member opens and interacts with the electronic message.

  • Patent number: 10013450
Abstract: A processor obtains a target knowledge graph that includes target nodes that represent concepts used within a target work and target edges between target nodes that represent links used within the target work to associate the concepts used therein with each other. The processor also obtains a background knowledge graph that includes background nodes that represent concepts used within a background work and background edges between background nodes that represent links used within the background work to associate the concepts used therein with each other. The processor compares a portion of the target knowledge graph to a portion of the background knowledge graph. Based on the comparison, the processor identifies a potential inconsistency between the background work and the target work.

  • Patent number: 10002199
Abstract: Mobile devices can provide app recommendations that are relevant to a location of interest. A localized app recommendation can be triggered (e.g., by a mobile device coming within a threshold distance of an application hotspot or some other user action). A location of interest can be determined. The location of interest can be the current location of the mobile device or another location (e.g., the destination in a mapping app). Using the location of interest, a localized application ranking database with app hotspot data can be queried with location data representing the location of interest. App recommendations can be received and displayed on the mobile device. Icons for apps that are relevant to the location of interest can be visually distinguished from other apps.

  • Patent number: 10002180
Abstract: An exemplary method comprises receiving data points, selecting a first subset of the data points to generate an initial set of landmarks, each data point of the first subset defining a landmark point and for each non-landmark data point: calculating first data point distances between a respective non-landmark data point and each landmark point of the initial set of landmarks, identifying a first shortest data point distance from among the first data point distances between the respective non-landmark data point and each landmark point of the initial set of landmarks, and storing the first shortest data point distance as a first landmark distance for the respective non-landmark data point. The method further comprising identifying a non-landmark data point with a longest first landmark distance in comparison with other first landmark distances and adding the identified non-landmark data point associated as a first landmark point to the initial set of landmarks.
