  • Patent number: 9433375
Abstract: In imaging an oxygen saturation level of blood, measurement light having a wavelength of 450 to 500 nm, B light, G light, and an R light are sequentially taken out of broad band light BB emitted from a xenon lamp. An internal body portion is imaged under irradiation with the measurement, B, G, and R light to obtain image data B1, B2, G2, and R2, respectively. A correlation memory stores first and second correlations, each being a correlation among the oxygen saturation level and intensity ratios between the image data B1 and G2 and between the image data R2 and G2. When a cumulative lighting time of the xenon lamp is less than a certain value, the oxygen saturation level is calculated using the first correlation. When the cumulative lighting time equals or exceeds the certain value, the oxygen saturation level is calculated using the second correlation.

  • Patent number: 9414767
Abstract: In a method to correct an EKG signal, the EKG signal is acquired, and used for R-spike triggering, during a magnetic resonance (MR) image acquisition sequence that produces interference signals in the EKG signal generated by gradient jumps, wherein the gradient jumps repeat at a fixed time interval, and wherein the duration of a cardiac cycle measured via the EKG signal is at least five times the time interval. During at least a first cardiac cycle, immediately after detection of the R-spike in the EKG signal no detection of the R-spike for triggering takes place for a dead time that is shorter than the duration of the cardiac cycle and during which the MR sequence is already running, and the EKG signal is acquired in that dead time as a reference signal. The reference signal is analyzed to extract interference signals that respectively repeat after the time interval, which are used to determine a correction signal having a duration equal to the time interval.

  • Patent number: 9402572
Abstract: The present invention relates to a digital portable pulse oximeter and battery-powered control method thereof. The automatic switching of the power supply is achieved by adding a Hall circuit, and the data displayed is allowed to always face the users by adding an acceleration sensor to the circuit. The advantageous effects of the present invention compared with the prior art are: Users can always read the data from the front side no matter which way they move. The digital portable pulse oximeter of the present invention can be automatically turned on just by inserting a finger, without having to press the switch button, and cut off the power supply by pulling out the finger, as well as judge intelligently whether to continue the measurement after the finger has been pulled out. If yes, the power supply will stay on, which reduces the energy waste and low efficiency caused by the restarting program initialization, improves the use efficiency of the battery and prolongs the battery life.

  • Patent number: 9392945
Abstract: Automated critical congenital heart defect (“CCHD”) screening systems and processes are described. A caregiver may be guided to use a single or dual sensor pulse oximeter to obtain pre- and post-ductal blood oxygenation measurements. A delta of the measurements indicates the possible existence or nonexistence of a CCHD. Errors in the measurements are reduced by a configurable measurement confidence threshold based on, for example, a perfusion index.
