Abstract: In a source computing system having a source management infrastructure, at least one source infrastructure management component is discovered. A description of a target cloud infrastructure having a target management infrastructure is obtained. The description includes at least one mandatory target infrastructure management component. The at least one source infrastructure management component is analyzed to determine whether at least one conflict exists with the at least one mandatory target infrastructure management component.

Abstract: A method, a system and an apparatus for providing streaming media service are disclosed. The system includes: a master mobile terminal configured to establish a connection with a streaming media server, and perform acquisition, encoding and transmission of local audio and video data; a slave mobile terminal configured to establish a connection with the streaming media server, receive the audio and video data transmitted from the master mobile terminal, decode the audio and video data received, and play the audio and video data decoded with a local streaming media player; and the streaming media server configured to manage a connection between the master mobile terminal and the slave mobile terminal, establish a temporary user packet, and forward a streaming media data flow transmitted by the master mobile terminal.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to, among other things, providing point of interest item recommendations and/or point of interest map information to users. In some examples, point of interest tags associated by a first user with point of interest items may be managed. Additionally, point of interest item ratings may be received from at least one of a plurality of other users. Based at least in part on the received ratings, a recommendation of a first point of interest item of the one or more point of interest items may be prepared for the first user.

Abstract: Various methods are described for expanding the display of a web application across multiple devices. One example method may comprise receiving an indication of content associated with a main frame of a web application. The method may further comprise displaying of the content associated with the main frame. Furthermore, the method may comprise searching for one or more external devices. Each of the one or more external devices may comprise a display for rendering content associated with a respective expanded frame of the web application. The method of this example embodiment may further comprise establishing a connection with the one or more external devices. Furthermore, the method may comprise providing for transmission to each of the one or more external devices of an indication of the content associated with the respective expanded frame. Similar and related example methods, example apparatuses, and example computer program products are also provided.

Abstract: A registration method whereby a sensor-based approach is used to establish initial registration and whereby upon the commencement of navigating an endoscope, image-based registration methods are used in order to more accurately maintain the registration between the endoscope location and previously-acquired images. A six-degree-of-freedom location sensor is placed on the probe in order to reduce the number of previously-acquired images that must be compared to a real-time image obtained from the endoscope.

Abstract: A computer system includes a plurality of processing computers which switches an execution time of a main function processing and a management function processing in a given time, and a management computer which has a schedule table showing a schedule in which each processing computer may execute the management function processing, and which is capable of instructing the execution of the management function processing to each processing computer, wherein the processing computer notifies a start time an end time of the management function processing to the management computer before starting the management function processing, and the management computer updates the schedule table with the notification, an decides the processing computer that may execute the management function processing, by referring to the schedule table, upon instructing the management function processing to the processing computer.

Abstract: Systems and methods of configuring a computer network are provided. The network can include a first stage of M nodes and a second stage of N nodes. Each node in the first stage can form F communication links with nodes in the second stage and each node in the second stage can form S communication links with nodes in the first stage. Nodes in the first stage are connected to each other only through communication links connecting nodes in the first stage to nodes in the second stage. Communication links between the nodes can be assigned such that the minimum value of the throughput between any pair of nodes in the first stage is maximized.

Abstract: Embodiments attribute network data transfers to applications executing on a computing device. A data transfer service executes on the computing device to receive and process data transfer requests. The data transfer requests, populated by the applications, have identifiers attributed thereto to enable monitoring of the network data transfers per identifier. For example, network data transfers associated with different mail accounts of a mail program or different web sites of browser are attributed separately. Data usage statistics relating to the network data transfers for each identifier may be generated and presented to the user for review.

Abstract: A system is configured to receive, from a user device, a request for content; obtain, based on receiving the request, an identifier for a subscriber associated with the system and a key; encode the identifier and the key to create a unique identifier; store the unique identifier in the request to create a modified request; provide the modified request to a content provider identified by the request; receive, from the content provider, the content and targeted content, the targeted content being associated with the unique identifier and conforming to an attribute of the subscriber; and provide, to the user device, the content and the targeted content.

Abstract: An endpoint broker to provide application launch endpoints from multiple data centers having different tenancy sets. Upon accessing a request for an application launch endpoint connection for a user, the broker selects a data center, from amongst multiple data centers that have different tenancy sets, that is to provide an endpoint in satisfaction of the request. The endpoint broker identifies an endpoint from the selected data center, and then associates the identified endpoint with the user. The user is then provided access to the identified endpoint using the association. Thus, a user is not restricted to having an endpoint from a single data center. If there are concerns with providing an endpoint from one data center, an endpoint may be provided from another data center in a manner that is transparent to the user.

Abstract: A switch equipment and data processing method for supporting link layer security transmission are provided. The switch equipment for supporting link layer security transmission comprises a switch module and multiple port modules, each port module is electrically connected with the switch module respectively; the port module supports a link layer key management capability, and is used for establishing a share key for encrypting and decrypting data frames between the switch equipment and other network nodes.

Abstract: A lighting device or an apparatus for use with a light source has one or more sensors, intelligence in the form of programmed processors and communication capabilities. Each sensor is configured to monitor one or more conditions external to a lighting device not directly related to operational performance of the respective lighting device. Programming provides a standardized interface to enable processing of sensed conditions from sensors of different types.

Abstract: A mobile device, a content delivery apparatus, a content providing apparatus and a control method thereof are provided. The mobile device includes a communication unit that performs communication with an external environment, a signal processor that processes signals transmitted and received through the communication unit, and a display unit that displays an image based on a signal processed by the signal processor. The mobile device also includes a controller that controls the communication unit to transmit a profile corresponding to a request to a content delivery apparatus when the request for the profile is received from the content delivery apparatus located within a predetermined zone, and to receive content corresponding to the transmitted profile. Customized contents can be provided to the mobile device on the basis of a user's profile.

Abstract: A trusted device, such as a wristwatch 2, is provided with authentication circuitry 26, used to perform an authentication operation to switch the trusted device into an authenticated state. Retention monitoring circuitry 32 monitors the physical possession of the trusted device by the user following the authentication operation and switches the trusted device out of an authenticated state if the trusted device does not remain in the physical possession of the user. While the trusted device remains in the physical possession of the user, communication triggering circuitry 38 is used to detect a request to establish communication with a target device that is one of a plurality of different target devices and communication circuitry 40 is used to communicate with that target device using an authenticated identity of the user.

Abstract: There is provided a method for secure communications. The method comprises obtaining a broadcast message, computing a signature for said broadcast message using a private key, and sending a transmission to a communication device. The private key is associated with a certificate and the transmission comprises the signature.

Abstract: User profiles stored on a server control access to private data. Access control to the user profiles themselves is provided without a password. In more detail, the user profile is functionally handicapped by at least a portion of digital data (or a cryptographic key) associated with the user profile being removed and discarded after being sent to an enabling device. A human gesture from the user first provides a key to reconstitute the key or restore the missing data portion in the enabling device which is then transmitted to the server to reconstitute the key or restore the missing data portion in order to reconstitute the user profile for access.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for providing a virtual terminal. A virtual cloud server may configure a plurality of virtual terminals by employing a virtual machine in a cloud environment. The virtual cloud server may provide an application of a heterogeneous platform to a terminal that accesses the virtual cloud server. A cooperative middleware apparatus may determine a cloud server suitable for a mobile terminal among a plurality of cloud servers, based on content information of content and virtual terminal information stored in the plurality of cloud servers.

Abstract: A system and method for notifying people related to a user of an activity is disclosed. A processing module receives and processes the activity for the user. A notification module is communicatively coupled to the processing module. The notification module is configured to receive the activity from the processing module. The notification module is also configured to notify a social network of a start of the activity. The notification module is further configured to notify people related to the user of the activity.

Abstract: An encryption method and apparatus is provided for increasing the security of encrypted data by puncturing or repeating a part of coded data. The data encryption method includes converting data to be encrypted using a certain encryption function; generating a codeword by performing ECC encoding on the converted data; puncturing a part of the converted data included in the codeword; interleaving the punctured data; and inserting errors to the interleaved data.

Abstract: A new approach is proposed that contemplates systems and methods to provide the ability to detect, measure, aggregate, and normalize sentiments expressed by a group of users on a certain event or topic on a social network so that the normalized sentiments truly reflect the sentiments of the general public on that specific event or topic. Additionally, the collected and measured sentiments of an individual user expressed on a social network can also be normalized against a baseline sentiment that reflects in order to truly reflect the individual user's sentiment at the time of his/her expression.
